Guess what Bea ate at dinner?

We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner this evening. We let them have a few of the chips while we waited for dinner, and I gave Bea a couple pieces of tomato from the salsa, she loves tomatoes. It was a really good, fresh, homemade salsa, so it was all chunks of veggies, not like a jarred runny salsa. It did have some kick to it though, you wouldn't think a toddler would like it. Well, next thing I know, she's got her hand in the bowl, shoveling handfuls of it in her mouth! I tried to move it away, but she got really upset, so I just gave her the bowl and a spoon and asked for another bowl of salsa for the rest of us. After dinner, she wanted what was left of that bowl too! I wish I had brought the camera.

That is Ben for you too!!! Just be prepared for a wicked diaper rash...that is the price Ben pays for spooning in the salsa each time!!!

My 8 year old used to eat salsa with a spoon, too. She still loves it. Spicy foods are a big hit at our house!

Oh yes, mine love the spicy stuff. They use a chip and slurp the salsa off then want to dip the wet chip again. I gave them their own bowl last time as well. I've never noticed any diaper rash after eating spicy foods which seems odd since they have such sensitive skin.

I've also wondered if it had anything to do with me eating so much spicy food while I was pregnant. Did you crave spicy foods?

Think of it this way -- it's just chunky gazpacho. ;) (So did she get a diaper rash? I hope not....)

I was surprised that A&S like spicy food too -- but Sarah will eat spicy bean dip with a spoon. (And no, it doesn't seem to give her particularly bad gas.)

I hope it doesn't effect her diaper presents!

Glad she like it though, everything effects Bells poops, so that's the first thing I would worry about!!!

Nope, no diaper rash, yay! She eats so many tomatoes though that her system must be used to it. We were at a farm stand the other day, and she reached up and took a tomato off the dispay and just started eating it! Had everyone laughing.
