We are having fraternal twin (baby girl and boy) and we just found out that the girl is 27 wk and 6 days. The boy is 24 wk and 5 day. I am 27 week this thursday. Is there any need to be worry? We are seeing an high risk doctor tomorrow. Is this IUGR?

I think that you are fine. [IMG] They are simply going off measurements and maybe he is just smaller. [IMG]

It may just be the difference between the babies, one being a girl and one being a boy. They should watch it to make sure it doesn't get worse but hopefully it won't turn out to be anything. My Jessy is a IUGR/cord defect baby and if you have any q's feel free to ask and I'll check the thread later.

I have found that different u/s techs measure a little differently and my babies have switched off and on of being the bigger twin. I am also having b/g twins. Sometimes they are nearly the same and sometimes they are a week off.
    Was your doctor concerned?

The doctor look at the imblical cord and it looks like boy is bad blood is going back into the baby. He was thinking that the placenta maybe coming undone from the uterous wall. He sent us home for 48 hour.

Both my girls had bad cord placement and Jessy had a 2 vessel cord. She had at times no flow but never negative noted by u/s. I strongly recomend a high risk ob mine was great with being straight with us about the risks. We actually had three doctors tell us that Jessy would never make it and if she did she would probably be disabled. She is relatively healthy though she does have a heart murmur and a limp(we are trying to figure out the limp we go to an othropedic dr next month). She is smaller than her id sister(by 5lbs and 3 inches). She actually talks more than her sister and isn't behind any intellectually.

Hopefully this next 48 hours are good ones for the babies. [IMG]
