I thought growth would start to plateau after a year, but my dudes are still growing like weeds. Austin is 27 1/2 lbs and Miles is 27 lbs... they've gained roughly a lb a month. They went from being at about the 25th percentile to being in the 50-75th range in the last couple of months... just wondering if we're feeding them too much  They have good appetites, but they're also pretty active little dudes. Miles is pretty lean looking, but Austin has a bit of a belly on him. I know it's not anything really to worry about at this age at all, but I want to make sure that we're instilling healthy eating habits from an early age. Both my husband and I were really skinny kids, so it's just surprising that we have two little chunks of kid

 it sounds like they are just fine! As long as you are offering good foods for them to eat, and they aren't chowing down on chips and cookies all day long, then let them boys eat! Their growth WILL taper off, sometimes it doesn't happen until the latter half of the second year! :D

I noticed that growth tapered off for my two during the later half of the second year. It sounds like your boys are doing great!

My guys were slower growers in the first year, and actually finally got onto the growth charts in the second year. I know "typically" they say kids slow down after the first year, but this is not what I experienced with my boys. They are still pretty skinny, but are much more solidly on the charts now and are just starting to taper off from their huge growth spurt last year.

As long as you're not force-feeding and not pushing them to eat, then they're getting exactly what they need! :D

I'm looking forward to the growth taper! My girls have gained 1 lb a month since their 12 month appt and are now tipping the scales at 29lbs. I agree that if their diets are balanced, the growth is great! My girls were hungry before bed tonight and had milk and green beans (weird) but I am willing to feed them when they ask as long as they are fine with eating healthy!

My kids' growth has definitely tapered off in the SY. DS used to have a belly on him and he has really thinned out. They are pretty good eaters most of the time and seem to be growing normally, but have only gained a few pounds in the SY.
