Grossest thing your kids have eaten?

I was at the park with a mom of a singleton (12 months). She probably thinks I'm a terribly neglectful mom. But there's only so much attention you can pay to 2 toddlers at once!

Anyone, at one point Amy was chewing on a pine cone -- which made me wonder if pine cones are toxic. (I hope not!) Amy also picks up cigarette butts off the ground all the time, but so far hasn't tried to eat one (she hands them to me, instead). And I remember someone mentioning here a few months ago that one of their twins ate a ladybug.

What's the grossest thing your kids have eaten (and how old were they at the time)?

It could be worse. At least urine is sterile. [IMG]

She didnt actually eat it, but two summers ago Sierra licked a snail shell EWWW GROSS, and of course this paranoid mommy was all set to take her to Emergency LOL.

Ryan honestly he ate poop when he was 10 months old. They had the worst habit of takin off their diapers and playin in it, smearing it, and it was the first time this happened, and Ryan looked up at me and smiled and GROSS if that didnt make me puke I dont think anything will.

I guess Joss eating handfuls of catfood isn't so bad then!! She knew she wasn't suppeosed to be eating it so she was shoving in her mouth as fast as possible it was all puffed out like chipmunk cheeks. YUCK!

Mine ate dog food before their first Cheerios... that's how I knew they could handle finger foods [IMG]

Trent once ate a live clickbeetle (9 months), Trevor has eaten poop (11 months), and both have eaten their fair share of ladybugs (they invade in the Fall so 12-14 months).

Right around 14 months is when I found the boys looking at something on the hall rug: when I went over to investigate, there was Colin putting a hairball into his mouth.

Mine recently ate wet toilet paper. The "wet" was from the toilet water, they were dunking it in & taking little bits of it & chewing it!! I was so disgusted! & also too embarrassed to call pedi to see if they could get sick, I figured they'd be ok since they were already on abx for ear infections anyway.

They used to try to drink their bath water which I thought was pretty gross. One thing that a lot of people eat that I think is gross but Kaitlyn likes is oysters. [IMG]

I think my Brody has eaten EVERYTHING! Boyd's not too far behind.

I KNOW Brody's eaten poop, but I really didn't check, I just cleaned really quickly so I wouldn't have to know! LOL

They've eaten drywall, they've chewed on their new pine bedding set, they'll peel paint off the wall (where they've chewed through the drywall) and eat that [IMG] (yes, they've both been tested for PICA)

I know that Brody has also had dog poop in his hands. Again with the "clean really quickly" so I didn't have to know. I did scrub his mouth, so I didn't have to guess! LOL

Well we have a puupy and therefore isn't fully house trained. Needless to say Dakota has brought puppy poop to me a few times, not quite sure if he had eaten it or not. Didn't see anything in his mouth. Logan like's the dogs moist and meaty food.
