    Does GRIPE WATER really work?
I have two babies with gas, and the mylicon drops aren't working.

Gripe water worked for me... for hiccups. Instant cure! I can't say it did much good on other things. I have an aunt who swears by it though!
Might I suggest a gentle massage, clockwise around the navel. :)

My Ped said not to use it... I guess many Gripe Waters on the market contain an ingriedient found in narcotic drugs....

That's why I like this site. I've never heard that.
    Thanks

Loved it! Sean was gassy and it worked some stuff out of his system and he stopped having a gas problem. We went through 2 bottles total.

If you are worried about the ingredients then ask your pedi to be safe.

Tummy massage does work really well to get rid of gas though.

The ingredient is belladonna and I found out by accident when I was researching teething tablets. Saw a horror story about accidental belladonna intoxication from Hylands teething tablets. Rare but sometimes a bit much ends up in just one pill and a baby can't metabolize it. Then people looked into other homeopathic products and gripe water had it. Uggh I was so looking for something that would work and people swore by these products. But after reading that story I just can't take the chance that I'd give my baby the one pill that was heavy in belladonna. That and my pedi said no because they don't know enough about it. It acts like a hallucinogen/opiate in babies. Hope that helps.

We use it and it seems to work well. At bedtime if we don't give some they wake up screaming in an hour.
