Hi everyone - this is my first time over here, because my little guys just turned ONE on FRIDAY, 11/9!!!!!

I am gradually adding some whole milk to their formula. For example, if they take 7 oz bottle, I'm putting 2 oz milk, and 5 oz formula. I have noticed some really soft poop diapers since the change, which is only like 4 days now - when do I gradually add more milk and less formula? And when will the soft poop get more firm?

I have a 2.5 year old DD, but I don't remember any of this!!!! TIA!

That is how I gradually moved to all whole milk too. I just kept adding more milk and less formula every day until the formula was gone. So if they are tolerating it fine, I would just do that add more milk every day and less formula. As for their poop, I would think they will get a bit firmer once they are taking more milk. Sometimes milk is constipating, so I would think once they are getting more milk they will firm up.

Welcome to the 1-4 board and :birthday: boys!!

We started mxing at 11 months, and now we're almost off ... it's about 75% whole milk. I have one more can of formula and that's it! Haven't changed something in their stools.

I started with one quarter milk to 3/4 formula for a week, then half/half for another week, then 3/4 milk and 1/4 formula. I didn't notice any change in their poops. If you think it's an issue wait another month before starting on whole milk.

I replaced an ounce of room temp formula with an ounce of cold milk every 2 days. It took about 2 weeks for us to transition to entirely cold milk. One warning though, they usually don't need more than 16 oz of milk a day. More can be constipating. I didn't know this and was giving the girls their regular number of bottles every day but filled with milk. You can start adding more water to their diet now to replace some of the milk.

I've never mixed the milk with the formula. I started with one cup of milk at a mealtime and gradually replaced each bottle with a sippy cup of milk. The twins were off the formula (and bottles) by 13 months. Liam just started with milk a couple of weeks ago, he is getting 1 sippy a day right now.
