Graco Pack and Plays

For lack of a better term, I am referring to the pad that lays down in the bottom portion as a "mattress."

I am frantically trying to make a decision. We have two PeaPod travel tents that worked really well for vacations when the babies were smaller and non-mobile. Now I am terrified that DD will spend most of the night trying to figure out how to get the zipper down or will bang away on the sides, making a ruckus all night.

So, if I buy the cheapest Graco Pack and Play as a travel crib (no mobile, no changing table, etc), will I regret it? We have a $110 model, but no way do I want to spend that much for a spare travel crib. I am looking at the cheapest model...around $60.

    Anyone have any thoughts???

I looked on craigslist, but the higher-end models are all selling for $50-60. I would rather have a new one (I think?) for that price.

    Thanks for any help!!!

I have 4 PNP's, 3 Graco's and 1 Safety 1st and they all have the same type of mattress. We keep 2 in our trailer for when we camp and then my MIL has 2 at her house. They work great for us!

I have two Graco brand PnPs. One was a more expensive one and the other was the bare basics model (around $50-60). They both have the same size mattress pad. The nicer one does have little places in hte corners that hold the mattress down though. I know that one of my friends has an Evenflo brand PNP that has a smaller mattress. I purchased non-Graco brand sheets for mine (travel bed size) and they fit perfectly. I think they're Martha Stewart brand.

Thank you for your replies! In reading through my post, I neglected to say that I am most concerned about the quality of the mattress that comes with the bare bones model. I want to make sure that the mattress isn't too flimsy, or rock-hard, or something.

    Thanks :)

It's exactly the same. I have 1 expensive one and the other one's are the not-so-expensive ones and they are identical!

We have a cheap Graco PNP. I bought a quilted sheet at Target. It is by Eddie Bauer and was on sale for $13.50 originally $15 I think. The PNP mattresses seem like gym mats! My DD sleeps great in it.
