For those with the Graco Duo Glider, do you notice that the back seat looks very uncomfortable and that your infant is slouching? I find that whoever sits in the back seat ends up sliding down and I imagine that it is not good for their posture for extended periods of time. Anyone else?

Yes!! They are always slouching (and kicking the front seat) - I thought I was the only one who noticed!? I just keep switching them for every "ride". I do not care for this stroller anyway...I love the side by sides MUCH better and so do the babies...The one in the back always end up crying because he/she cannot see very well.

I basically hate my Graco Double. My guys are too big for the infant seats but not sturdy enough for the real seats. Yesterday I turned back from a walk because Evan (in the back) was so uncomfortable.

OH boy... this is not good to hear! I was given a Duo Glider as a present when my twins were born. They're now three and a half months. The stroller is fine since they're in infant seats (although it sure is heavy!). I was hoping it would be super comfortable and convenient for them once they're out of infant seats.

Since the Duo Glider isn't "the one" for many of you, do you have other stroller recommendations?

    Thanks!

I feel the same way too. I just started putting my boys in it not that they can sit for extended periods on their own. This is not a great stroller for kids who still need supported sitting. Also the first time and last so far they both had little scratches all over their legs and arm I guess from the plastic. Ouchy!

I am hoping they "grow into it" as I see alot of them in use.

One of the problems is that the back seat either is up all the way or reclined all the way, there is no position in between. I have mine in a side-by-side stroller now with more reclining options, but they are slouching in that too. I think it will get better as they become better sitters. I also find that mine lean WAY forward sometimes in the duoglider, trying to put the snacktrays in their mouths, or out to the side. Mine are pretty big 7 month olds, and they can sit pretty well unsupported, so I am not really thrilled with the duoglider. It was great for travel when they were in infant seats, though.

I used their infant seats until they were about 11 months old and could sit well, but James usually ends up in the back because he sits better and is taller.

That is one of the reasons I got rid of mine. I went to the side by side and the babies are much happier and more comfortable.

You know, I don't mind my Duoglider. It stays in my car and is used for all errands. I switch who sits in back/front so they don't bicker so much.

I did buy a SBS jogger when they were a year old, and that stays in the garage for the most part. We use it for walks and to go down to the beach. I occasionally take it places where I know they'll want to see things better (zoo, stuff like that) but it's big folded up and takes up lots of room in the van. And the Duoglider navigates through stores better.

I have a use for both styles of stroller, and like them equally well. The Duoglider has an awesome big basket, once you no longer use the infant seats with it.

By 6 months we had changed from the Duo glider into a side by side so they both could see. The duoglider was great when they were in their infant seats but the stroller itself just got to heavy to lug around. I went with a Jeep umbrella side by side and it is so easy and light and very portable. Fits in the back of my car even when the 3rd row is up (very small space when that seat is up).

I think most people have probelms with that stroller. I have one and basically deal with the problems. Here is a link to another topic that was posted awhile ago about the same thing.

Yep, the one in back slouches unless they can really hold themselves up. DS sits in front because he pulls hair if he's in the back seat, so DD is stuck in the back. We use this stroller for shopping only.

I ALSO HATE MY DUO GLIDER. AS THE DRIVER YOU CAN'T SEE THE BABY IN THE BACK AND THAT BABY CAN'T SEE ANYTHING! AND I GAVE UP TOTALLY ON THE FRONT CANOPY. IT FELL OUT EVERYTIME I USED IT ! DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE Quattro Tourâ„¢ Duo Stroller? THE BACK SEAT SEEMS HIGHER GIVING THE BACK BABY MORE TO SEE.

I have a duoglider and a sbs jog stroller. I too like both for different uses, but my girls sit up pretty well... I do wish the back seat had a semi-reclined position though..

Sometimes I put a bag or pillow in the top of the basket so when I recline the back seat, it rests on it and remains semi-reclined...

I guess you could say I'm a Stroller-a-Holic. We have three different strollers, which all serve very different purposes. Plus, we've got two single umbrella strollers that can be hooked together (we use one stroller to transpor them in and out of daycare...and just hold the other one). Anyway, these are the 3 double strollers that I have:

Graco DuoGlider: Bought this one when I was pregnant because I could not get a double Snap n' Go in AK for a decent price. We have only tried to put them in the actual seats once (as opposed to just snapping in their car seats) and it was obviously uncomfortable for them both. They are 6 1/2 months now (but small, at only 13 lbs each) and can sit up unassisted for short periods of time, so I was thinking it would not be an issue sitting in the stroller...but, they don't like it. We only use this stroller now for plane trips because we can clip their infant seats into them and gate check the whole shabang! Other than plane trips to the lower 48, we don't use this at all and have not since about 3 months...when I got my.....

Maclaren Twin Traveller: Love, LOVE, LOVE this stroller!!! It is a bit heavy, but folds compactly and has a nice handle. And both seats recline independently and completely!! It was expensive, but well worth it. We use this as our "primary" stroller. Grocery store, etc. However, we do not use it on walks because we have the....

Bob Revolution Duallie: Again, we LOVE this stroller! It is tough enough for the trails and smooth enough for the sidewalks. Not to mention, the rain hood is amazing and there is a TON of storage space. We did get it on sale ($429), so I'm glad we saved some $$ there. But, to anyone who goes on long walks or wants to get off the sidewalks...this is the stroller.

I really thought that the Duoglider would be our "every day" stroller, but that was not the case! But, "the one" for me would have to be the Maclaran...and I recently saw that you can order them on Target.com. I don't think they have the Twin Traveller (I think it is now called the Rally or Techno) as it is an older model.

    Good luck!!!

I never had any problems. When they weren't good sitters, I just put a bunched up receiving blanket on each side of them to help them sit up. Isn't the waist belt helping to keep them in place? I loved my Duoglider while I sold my sbs after 1 year and we used the DG until 3 years old.
