Went to the pedi. yesterday for Trevor's cough/congestion and came home with some meds for him. While there I mentioned we would be back in 3 weeks for their 1 year appt. and could I go ahead and start whole milk a few weeks early and got the OK. [IMG] He did say to wait until Trevor feels better before starting it, but that should be in a few days. I'm so excited about all the money we will save not buying formula anymore. Now I just have to get them better at drinking from a sippy cup, they are getting there slowly.

Cool! Have you tried a straw sippy? My girls drank okay out of a sippy, but they didn't get the holding it up tilted part, so we'd end up holding it up for them. Then I took them out to lunch the other day and let them try drinking with a straw. I do this every time we go out, but they finally did it. So then I bought them so me sippies that have a straw and they go to town! I have been giving them 4-5 ounces of formula with each meal in a straw sippy, and I can get rid of one of their bottles this way - yeah!

Way to go Amy!! My ped. told me I had to wait until our check up so he could check their hemaglobin [IMG]. Oh well I'm praying to get the okay next week!! I need that $200 raise. I'm working on that durn cup too. I don't remember it being this hard with Ansley. Maybe it was b/c I had only one that time!

Susan - thanks for the advice. I'm definitely going to try the straw cups!

Susan-What kind of straw sippy do you use. Maybe I will have to try that. We recently got the Nuby cups and they do ok with them, better than the other ones we've tried.

Kimberly-I hope you are able to start milk next week. I will keep my fingers crossed. You are right, I don't remember it being this hard with Caroline either, I think it is because of one baby versus two. I am finding a lot of things much harder now, because there are 2 of them.

Amy, yay! I just realized you are leaving us soon! [IMG] I am sad. I love your advice and thank you for sharing your story about the twins birth (this was a long time ago). I always tell people that I have a friend who has twins who are ten days apart. They never believe me!

    They are growing so fast!

Susan-Thanks, I will have to check those out and try them with my two.

Sarah-You are so sweet!!! Yes, I'll be moving to the big 1-5 board soon, but will still be here til Trevor turns one on the 14th [IMG]. Before you know it you will be heading over there too, it goes fast. Too funny about people not believing the 10 days apart story, I get looks all the time about it. I love your boys shirts in your avatar!!!
