I was bored during the girls' nap today, so since it's nice and the windows are opened...I tackled their NEW room (our old guest room) with paint. It's painted in PURPLE GALA (that's the swatch color). I LOVE it. THe room is so bright and cheery!! The bedding has greens, purples, pinks...all kinds of pastels (it's butterflies and flowers). I was too lazy to do the trimming, so that's next on my list and then a 2nd coat. I can't wait to get it done. I think we will wait and move them in their (into twin beds) possibly the end of October or beginning of November. I will share pics after I get it painted and the bedding in there~!

You're better than me! I hate painting with a passion and I have two rooms to paint before this baby shows up. I don't know what I'm going to do.

That's awesome..since i've been pg, i have paintd our kitchen, bathroom and the bedroom. If i could find more i would LOL. The great thing is that you're not supposed to paint while your pg....lol....

Sounds like it is going to be really pretty. You will be in a similar situation when you make the switch to twin beds. I would suggest leaving everything in the babies room except their beds so they can start out in a completely empty room. This will make the transition easier. I also left the crib up as a threat at naptime which I had to follow through with a couple of times at the beginning with Nathan. Bedtime was never a problem since it was so dark in their room they were afraid to get up.
