well last night about 5:30 while walking in Orschlens with my hubby It all started.....CONTRACTIONS....not BH ones either real stop in your tracks contractions......they got to be about 5-6 minutes appart.....so when I got to the car I took one of my brethine meds......well after 30 minutes they weren't stopping so I called my OB office to ask how long it normally take for them to work and they told me they should have stopped by now if they were going to.......so they said for me to go to L & D.......so at 7:00 we checked into L&D and they put the monitors on me and checked my cervix and I was dialted to 1 UGGGHHHH I started freaking......but they assured me it was ok so after a while they were seeing more contractions so they gave me a double dose of brethine and that still wasn't stopping them it made them not so close but they were still coming so they hooked me a IV and gave me one bag really quick I had 3 more contractions after being hooked up the IV but after they got the whole bag into me and started another I was pretty much leveled out so the Dr let me go home about 1:00 AM........so now I have to take my 2.5mg brethine 2x a day for a week then work up to 5 mg 2x a day til the DR tells me to quit. My next appt is the 19th so hopefully I'm not dialated anymore I'm hoping to keep these little ones in a bit longer.....

Question.....since I'm dialated now does that mean I did lose my mucus plug?

Sorry about that, glad you got it all checked out. :hug99: I don't think just because you are 1cm dilated that it means you lost your mucus plug, I did not and I was 2cm dilated. Did they put you on any kind of bedrest?

Sorry for your scare. Get lots of rest when you can and drink plenty of water to help keep those contractions away. Hang in there.

Im glad everything is OK. Keep an eye on those contractions, and dont hesitate to go back in if they start up again. Try and stay off your feet as much as possible and drink lots of water. Good Luck!!

Sorry you had such a scare. I don't know when I lost my mucous plug but it wasn't when I was just a little dilated. But I hear that even though you lose that you can still be weeks away from delivery. Cook babies, cook! Keep us posted.

He didn't say any thing about bed rest but I'm thinking starting Saturday I just might pretty much put myself on it til my Appt Thursday.....he just asked when he told me to quit work and I told him Friday was my last day so he just said ok to take it easy.....I will try to keep you all updated as much as possible....
