I am thinking about switching the twins formula from Similiac Advance to Good Start Supreme with DHA.

Has anyone done this? Is Good Start just as good as similiac? Any suggestions about switching?

    TIA

I used Similac, but I know a lot of people who used good start and loved it. If you do switch, make it super gradual. That makes a huge difference.

we switched to GoodStart since the boys had constipation problems with Similac. I think GS is easier to digest than Similac. Be ready for strange colored poops though :) I would have stuck with Similac though if it weren't for those issues since I get them cheaper at Costco.

Good start is WONDERFUL. But is there a reason you are thinking of swichin? I wouldn't mess with a good thing if the Similac is working for you but thats just me! If you do swich good start has a good twins mailing list and they would send coupons every month! HTH

Good start is wonderful! I used it with my DS when he had colic as a baby. It was much cheaper back then than it is now.

We also switched to GS due to cnstipation. The best thing we ever did! And it doesn't have that horrible formula smell like others It smells like milk. I have not found any problem snce switching but that was at 2 weeks. It is funny how green and smooshy the poop is but it isn't bad or anything.

My girls seem to hate their milk right now. It has become such a struggle to get thru one feeding. So, I thought they may enjoy feedings a little more again if I tried another brand. I am still on the fence about switching.

We used Similac from the hospital to home, for the first two weeks. We switched to Good Start because of spitting up issues. They seemed more uncomfortable on the GS and their poopy diapers stunk unbelievably. And they were gassy. And GS is supposed to be easier on their bellies. We switched back to Similac RTF and the gas/poop issues went away. They were still spitting up, but meds and cereal in the bottle helped - a lot. We recently (when they went off meds @ 6 months) switched to BJ's brand powder formula and it's great. Not one issue when we changed. RTF is SO MUCH easier when they are littler (? is that a word) and you don't have time. But now we have more time and make the powder stuff up in 2 quart containers. Honestly, if it works, don't mess with it. Good Luck!

They are both great - I switch to GS from Similac, but both of my babies hated it...so, I switched back...One is now on Alimentum...talk about stinky!!!

Cow's milk formula is cow's milk formula. As long as you aren't switching to Soy or Lactose Free, than any of the reg. formulas should be fine!
