We used stage 2 right from the begining. They just shared the container. Only use the whole foods one though till you get them all tried. We didn't buy the mixed flavors till they had tried both of the flavors individually first.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up! We also have done Stage 2 since the get go. They still split them, but now usually get 2 per meal (usually a fruit & veggie). If you feel the texture is too much for your little ones, just water it down. Ours always preferred it thicker.

They have gone thru all the 1st foods already. and i have always added rice to the food to make it thicker. We only had problems with apples and peas. (Ds threw it up)
So i am going to try the mixed fruits and mixed veggies to see if it does the same... Or is that a bad idea?

Try it it can't hurt once. Maybe then it won't be so strong and he will do fine. Good luck. Here it is always 80 cents for the baby food at target the cheapest place I have found.

Once we did all the individual fruits & veggies (my one DS does NOT like the 'green' veggies so we usually have to 'hide' them in fruits), we started with the mixed fruits/veggies. I still spaced them out every few days to make sure, but less in between them than originally with the individuals. I plan to leave a little extra time after the "Apple Strawberry Banana" we just did today b/c it's common for little ones to react to strawberries. Otherwise, the only thing we HAVEN'T tried is the Garden Veggies, which I think we'll be safe with since we've tried all the veggies out there! Oh, and we haven't tried the Mango or Guava. I'm not crazy about those, but DH bought them thinking they'd be "fun". I'm also coinciding their "Puffs" with what they've had, so they've only had the Sweet Potato Puffs so far. We'll start the Strawberry Banana ones once I know they're ok w/strawberries.

I gotta go deal with SOMEONE who's fighting a nap ;).....

The puffs.. Dont they have to be sitting on their own?

I dont remember much from DD1. My mom kinda took charge with her. She wasnt even eating solids at 6 months.. I had no idea she was supposed to...

We started Puffs, along with sippy cups, at 6 months. Our Ped gave us the go ahead at that point but told us to start with Cheerios. I was a little reluctant (plus, I didn't have any at the time) so I started with the Puffs broken up. My one DS took RIGHT to them, but my other DS just recently started doing ok with them. They never gagged, just occasionally spit them out. I've been lucky with good eaters (aside from the one not liking the "green" veggies) in that they took to solids really easy. They're really good at their sippy cups, as long as the valve isn't in! Then they're clueless :)!

My girls LOVE mango! I bought one container thinking 'why not?' even though I was put off by the lable "Dessert fruit." But this is one of the girls fav's.. and I have to say its pretty yummy (yes I tried it!). I've never seen Guava...

Oh and to the OP, I started stage 2 when they needed more than one container of stage 1 and had gone thru all the basics.
