Good News

We went to the doctor today, and Lukas's shallow hip is completely set. So we manage to avoid a sling to put it back in the socket. There's a genetic defect that generally goes to girls, but because we have it on both sides of the family, it affected my DS. My parents and my in-laws had to go through casts and akward carseats. I'm so happy we won't have to.

On another note, WE GOT THE CRIB UP!!!!! (only a month after I asked DH to put it up.) It took us 2 hours to move and rearrange and get the silly thing up. It means more space and new toys.

 

Was it hip displasia?
My girls were at risk as they are 1)twin 2)Asian 3) girls 4) one was breech.
They heard the 'click' at birth, and we've had three follow-up ultrasounds with one more to go. We had to double-diaper for the first 8 wks and are seeing an orthopedic doctor.
As of now, no problem is detected. After this last round of u/s and consultation, we don't have ot be concerned.

I'm glad you're past the issue! I've seen pics of the casts/harnesses- doesn't look fun. Yay!

That's great! My nephew had to be in a cast for several months and it was just heartbreaking, I'm glad your DS doesn't have to go through that.
