Good milestone but a little sad

Well, yesterday my girls turned 5 months. WOW, how time flies when your a mommy. Anyway, we decided it was time for them to be big girls and move into their own room. SO, we had them sleep in their own room for the first time. I put them in the same crib so they wouldn't be so scared. When we first put them to bed we put them at opposite ends, as soon as I laid down, the crying started. I went in and gave them their pacifiers again. THen laid down. Again the crying started so I went back in. THis time Gracie was wiggling her way over to Haley. SO, I left them next to each other and gave them their pacifiers again. THis time I was able to sleep some. FOr the first few hours of the night I had to get up every 45-90 minutes because Gracie was crying. But, after a few times she finally rested pacefully. When I went to wake them this morning, they were snuggled all in next to each other. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen.

It was sad to go to bed and see their empty pack n play. DH told me I could have them for one more week but I told him "No, its time" I'm sure this was harder on me than them. Today we are having a nother big milestone. TOday we are going to try rice cereal.

I can't believe your little girls are 5 months old. It seems like you just had them. What a great milestone! How cute that they ended up cuddled together. Good luck with the rice cereal!

 

I am feeling for you. I also last week moved my 5 month old boys to their own room. I, however, put them in different cribs since they both wiggle sooo much. Anyway, it's great, yet sad. I also miss having them right beside my bed.

 

I'm right there with Natalie, it seems like they were just born! It is sweet that they were snuggled together, it must be nice to have a twin.

 

That is bittersweet...For me so far when they outgrew their first outfits made me cry...well...like a baby!?

you're babies are so cute! mine have never slept together...nate just gets too mad at his brother! It must have been so cute to see them together...did you get a picture??

don't worry mommy - you will get used to sleeping alone again
