So i was shopping with the boys at BRU. they were in their stroller quietly playing as i searched teh aisles trying to remember what i was there for. So, along comes this grandmother holding her granddaughter. She goes "oh, how cute! Arent they handsome...twins are a handful but they're so much fun. I"m proof that you survive. My twins are 24 and ones with me here..." and she goes on and on about the boys and how things are different now. Anyways, her "twin" daughter walks around the corner and she goes " Oh honey, look! Twins! arent they beautiful!!!" and the daughter takes one look at the boys and said "I'm glad i only had one..." and continued walking. The grandma kinda stood there astonished and was like "well have a nice day..." I was amazed at her attitued. Well ya know what? I'm glad she only had one too. It takes us special people to have two...or more. :D Just one of those days i guess.

Some people... I tell ya. Well maybe she was having a bad day!! I love all these "older" twin moms though... they give the best advice and are always the ones to say "oh you are SOOO blessed!!" I met a 90 year old mother of twins at church the other day and she just made me feel the best when she gushed over the babies and said how much fun it is.....so Kudos to the grandma anyway!! Forget about the daughter.. you are right it takes a special kind of woman to do this!!

    I'm stunned! Who says that?

Oh well, the mom was really nice. There's a common bond among all twin moms of all ages. I've been told on many occasions how nice it is nowadays with all the "stuff" we have.

People are amazing, huh? My favorite one is "Better you than me" My new thing is to say "I agree, you probably couldn't handle it" :p My DH tells me to keep my mouth shut, but I just can't help it. If they can say rude things, why can't I?

My husband and I were just discussing this last night! People at his work are constantly asking him, "Are you sleeping, yet?" and saying, "I'm glad it's you and not me." I gets so old!!

At least the grandma was nice. Maybe the twin got tired of being on the receiving end of the twin comments as a child/young adult and they bore her now. Oh well, she could still be a little more polite. :blbl:

I've also had older twin moms tell me how wonderful it was to raise twins, those comments really make my day. As for that woman's daughter, she sounds rude and ignorant and doesn't DESERVE to have had twins! ;)
