i liked Juggling Twins by Meghan Regan-Loomis. Advice for moms from a mom with twins. i personally think that unless you have had hands on experience with it, you shouldnt be giving advice on how to do it. And this book goes from pregnancy all the way through the toddler years on what to REALLY ecpect and how to cope.

I have been told by other twin moms to get this book, and I did:
When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads, by Dr. Barbara Luke

This doctor works (Or owns...something like that) at a multiples clinic, and she writes the book along with a mother who had twins. Its great so far, I have learned a lot from it!
I believe it goes past pregnancy, and onto bringing them home, and getting through the first year, which is the hardest part I think (Since I have one child already, once I got past year one, things got much easier, or I got less narotic!)
I went to Barnes and Noble, and sat down and briefly glanced at a bunch of books, and realized what I was looking for in a twins book. I think everyone is different in what information they are looking for!

I have this one and hated it...I didn't feel like it went into enough detail about the things I needed to know about and it's pretty useless after they are born (which is when the big questions really dawn on you).

I really like Mothering Multiples (it's a LLLI book so maybe not for you if you won't be BFing) and "Ready or Not, Here we come," a more light-hearted book written by a mom of twins based on her experiences so definintely not a technical book, but I read it on bedrest and it made me laugh and gave me a more "real" feeling of what it was going to be like.

I found several books I enjoyed - Twinspirations was really good, Twin Sense had a lot of useful sensible advise, and I am now reading What to Expect the First Year - not a twin book per se but so much useful information (and it has a chapter on twins/multiples). HTH!

I am in the middle of Twinspiration and Juggling Twins. I love them both but would lean toward Juggling Twins if I had to choose. I have the Barbara Luke book and I liked it for the first half of pregnancy - then I got bored with the zillion pages on eating - I wanted something that read more down to earth although I highly respect Dr. Luke. :)

Not twin books but they were invaluable to me....

"Happiest baby on the block " book or video ( I read the book) good for the first 3 months.

"Happiest sleep habits happy child" -- good from birth til school age. -- a huge must.

Hmmm.... I have the book by Dr. Luke as well, and agree some of the info is really great, but she doesn't go into every aspect of a twin pregnancy which is what I was looking for. I do have some other pregnancy related books from my first pregnancy, so those help a bit - although they are examples of singleton pregnancies.
