    Hi all,

A few years ago I developed plantar fasciitis. With wearing insoles during the workday and doing some exercises, eventually the pain pretty much went away. I tend to almost always walk the golf course. So I did invest in some golf insoles to be worn in golf shoes. I wore them in my golf shoes and didn't really have any issues with my heel hurting after the round. But now, since most (or all) of the pain in the heel is gone, I am wondering if there is a pair of shoes I could buy where I wouldn't need the golf insoles, but could rather just wear the shoe "normally." I did buy a pair of Sketchers Arch Fit shoes last year and could wear them without the special golf insoles I had bought. They were OK (I didn't feel like they were the most "athletic" shoe) but they also are not waterproof.

So I am hoping to find a waterproof shoe to wear - hopefully one that I wouldn't need to wear the special golf insoles. Also, I have the need for a shoe that has a wide toe box (very slight bunion on right foot). I have heard some good things about the Squairz shoes as well as the True Linkswear. Does anyone have similar issues and have any recommendations?

    Thanks!

    Jon
