going home....

what do I put them in ? we are in nyc , so it will be cold in january. I have the thermal bags attatched to the car seats...what should I put them in ?

 

I am being induced tomorrow and I live in Chicago and it is cold here!! I am putting them in sleepers with a blanket on top and then a winter cozy cover over the car seats. I am hoping this will be enough, they won't be outside for very long as it is. I am curious to see what others have to say as well.

I would get some of those things you can put over the top of the infant car seat carrier, they have elastic around the edges so they stay on top, and don't mess with the safety of the car seat in any way. My sister made me some out of fleece, and they have holes for the babies heads, with flaps over them, and you can zip them up and down. I have seen them available at babies 'R' Us, also, they are just a little pricey there. Those keep the babies so warm, you may even have to uncover them in the car. (I know this from using them with my son, who got too warm inside there even as a little tiny infant.) I'm from Colorado, and it can get cold here too.

 

Just make sure the car is warmed up and whatever they wear should have feet. They'll be ok

 

Yea the simplest suggestion to keep the temperature of the car suitable for the babies. It will do a lot to keep the babies warm .
