I am trying to figure out what to pack for my b/g twins for going home outfits...and I can't make a decision! I was planning to take blue and pink onesies (newborn size), matching booties and hats. But, now that I think about it, I will probably want something on their legs, right?! Plus, they could be 5 pounders or they could be 7 pounders!!

What are you planning to take for going home outfits??

i brought newborn size outfits and they ended up 4'5" and 4'13" and in the NICU for 9 days when I went to pick them up I brought preemie fleece stretchies (december babies) and they were swimming in them (carters brand). the hospital will give you shirts that will fit any baby from 4-8 lbs. they will be summer babies so i wouldnt worry too much - i'd go with gerber brand 0-3mos or just born size onsies - that brand runs pretty small.

I took preemie outfits - my girls were January babies but If I were having summer babies, I think the pink/blue onesie idea is a cute one! you will have blankets to put over their legs if it gets cool in the car! and I agree Gerber onesies do run small so 0-3 would probably be just fine!

the preemie outfits I had were a gift from my shower - I would not buy too many preemie outfits. my girls were 6 pounds each and only wore them for maybe 2 weeks. you having summer babies -onesies are GREAT!!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I had summer babies and just brought a couple pink onesies to the hospital each time. I had balnkets in case we needed them. This time I am planning on doing the same with coordinating onesies. I am going to bring some matching outfits though too for hospital pics to e-mail our family that doesn't live close by. Melanie

BabyGap online has some basic, comfy-looking preemie styles. If you're wanting onesies but are worried about their legs, check out the coordinating pants you can get too.
