We are going to get our first pictures done tomorrow at JCPenney. They seemed to be reasonable and seem like they do a good job (or I could be totally off here!) Any tips to make it go smooth? My mom is coming to help me with them. What kind of pics have you done? I don't know what to do yet - I have little sweater vest outfits for them to wear for like a formal one, and also matching bathrobes for a bathtub one ... not sure how to do it. The lady on the phone said something about since they are little I might have to be in a photo so I should be matching them - is that true? TIA :)

My favorite pics were the ones when they were stripped down to their diapers and covered halfway with a blanket. I love the pose I have of them laying on their backs, ear to ear, looking up at the camera. Don't try to stress too much about them smiling at this age. I think you're good if you can just get them both looking at the camera at the same time! Make sure that they have both been changed and fed before you leave the house! Good luck. I hope all goes well. I love getting my kids' pictures done.

My dh and I have taken the girls to JCPenney once a month for their pictures since they were born. We have had decent photos and you can't beat the price when you have one of their $3.99 per sheet coupons. Up until last month, there wasn't much they would do, other than lie there. I agree about the pose with the blanket 1/2 on them. I never changed them at the photo shoots for fear of ticking them off. Just my opinion. I have never been in a shot with them. As long as you have someone there to help you, it should be fine. We usually stand on either side of the table and are responsible for watching the baby we are near. I have stood behind the curtain at times to help prop them. There are ways you can grab the baby without even knowing someone is behind there grabbing the baby!

Also, what we discovered works VERY well for us is to take the long road to get there so they have an extra little nap and then wefeed them just before they take the pictures. That way they are well rested with a full belly.

Good luck! Pictures are fun! :a_smil09:

i would put them in matching outfits :) make sure you dress them right before you leave to get the photo's or their clothes will be messy before you get them taken.

I wish I could give advice, LOL But I need some as well! I took my guys to get their easter pics done last week, and Jackie did really good, he posed and smiled, and Zack screamed the whole time! We only got one of them together, and they weren't even looking at the camera, LOL

I hope your session goes better than mine did.

BUT Mine also have stranger anxiety :(

Don't stress at picture time. My motto is that if I can get one of them looking forward and not screaming we are good. They probably won't be able to do the bathtub one until they sit up alone--mine just had that pose this weekend. I would schedule a time after naps and food and I never dress mine until we get to the place because they always spit up or drool. Have fun!

OMG, well, Chase was pretty good, he cried somewhat but it wasn't too bad but Connor had a total MELTDOWN, screaming and wailing, big tears ... we only got 3 good pictures and Con isn't smiling in any of them, but they are still cute, at least. I loved the naked ones with a blanket wrapping around them but they all looked bad. Ah well, next time I guess. And not even 38 bucks for a ton of pictures, great deal!!!

It certainly is a challenge with two. Not a bad price at all. For our two month picture, the only shot we could get is of both girls SCREAMING. We actuallly bought it and to this day, it's still the talk of the family. :D
