Ok I am officially going crazy. First off, I am from USA, but living in EU, my doctor does not speak English (fluently he knows a few words here and there). I can speak his language and I am technically fluent, just had to explain that. But I don't know words like fetal pole, gestational sac, or any medical terms, besides the basics.

At my ~6wk appt (I don't actually know when I o'ed, I have PCOS and I am bfing, only had 2 post partum periods). But according to my BBT chart, I got my bfp 7 DPO. It was faint, but there. This coincides with the approximate Edd the doctor has given me. With #1, on 14 dpo I barely had a line.

At my appt, the dr said, (in his language) "There's at least one in there." and smiled. I didn't think twice about it, just put it off as him being funny. When he was doing the exam I couldn't see the screen. He printed out the picture as we were leaving. He pointed out (what I assume was ges. sac, baby, etc). I was so excited just to see baby, I didn't think about it, until I got home and the "at least one" popped in my head and I looked at the u/s. Then I couldn't figure out, joking or serious?

My next appt is in 2 weeks, so I guess I will know for sure then (hopefully). the one blob is considerably smaller than the other so I am thinking it might not be viable, if it is anything. I also think if it were something like a bleed or my bladder or a cyst (which I know those words) he would have gone into detail about it, but I also think if it were 2 he would have gone into detail about it. I am so confused!!

I think it is weird how the white encasesboth blobs (if that makes any sense)

Hi. I cannot enlarge it to see it better.

Is that TWO of the same picture?? Are you questioning the tiny tiny little thing on the right of the gestational sac?

I cannot tell from that little pic!!

    hopefully this will be better

He printed iboth out on one small piece of paper, so the picture isn't the greatest, but yes I mean the smaller thing beside the ges. sac. I think the picture is different angles/planes? He measured the picture on the right.

Welcome to TS!! I am no u/s expert, so I honestly have no idea. It must be so hard to have to sit and wait! Good Luck at your appointment in 2 weeks!! Keep us posted!

Hmmm, I am not an ultrasound expert, either. I would think he would have mentioned what that other thing was. I had to go look at my ultrasound, and it doesn't look anything like mine did...but I know I can't go off that. I can't wait to hear what happens at your next appt in 2 weeks!

    :welcome:

Im no expert either, and Ive only seen U/S pics that early on, on this website. (i never personally had one done that early) but it does look like there could possibly be two and one is smaller than the other. Hopefully when you go back in it will be more definitive as to whether or not you're carrying twins!

I am going out on a limb to say I think it is two. It looks alot like my 6wk pic. We were not sure until 10wks that the second one was a viable embryo... it was! Good luck with the waiting game!!

Hmm thats a tough one. Are you thinking that the bigger sac in both pics is the same sac and that spot to the right is another sac in both pictures? Or do you think the left pic is one sac and the right pic is another? In my untrained eye, I think its just one. I have had a lot of sonos that early, but everyone's is so different so its hard to tell. I could share my early sonos if you want to see to compare but they are all so different.
Here is one from 5 years ago (unfortunately all 3 were blighted ovums but you can see the sacs)
Here is another one from 4 years ago with my babies...its not as close up as yours.

You can kinda see some spots to the sides of the sacs in some pics...not sure if thats what you were talking about?

Not sure if that helped. Sometimes I know its just nice to have something to compare it too when you don't know what else to think!

    Good luck!
