Going crazy and feel like crying

I've been on preventative modified BR since 20 weeks (so 4 weeks now) and will be until we deliver (which hopefully won't be before 34 weeks.) Everyone around has been pitching in as much as they can, but with 3 kids 5 and under it's definitely not easy for them either. And I've been running around 3 days in a row for Dr appts (Wed was a u/s check-up, Thurs was our first shot at the hospital for steroids and Fri was the 2nd shot as well as glucose testing - all of which meant I was running all over the city for different appointments.) Today I was looking forward to relaxing at least a bit, but DH had to work so I'm here by myself with the kids - getting lunch, breakfast, etc... All of which I am NOT supposed to be doing.

I'm exhausted, achy and ready to scream and cry. I'm only supposed to be up for 10 minutes at a time, but when you have 3 kids who need you and no one else around to help, what do you do? A nanny is not an option (either financially or realistically - we live in a tiny rural town and I can't think of anyone I would want to come in.) Our fammilies live close by, but my MIL has been having major health problems, underwent hip replacement in Dec and will be having major back surgery in a month (for a collapsed vertebrae) so how can I ask her to do more? My parents are wonderful too and help as much as they can, but they have lives and things they need to do. not to mention 3 preschoolers are NOT easy to keep up with on a daily basis.

I don't really expect advice or anything - I just needed to vent and know that there are people who have been here and survived. DH has been pitching in a lot too, but he has to work (obviously) so there's only so much he can do during the day.

It is so hard! I'm sorry you're feeling down right now and I wish I had magic words to offer. All I can say is that I understand and hope this time goes by quickly.

I was on bedrest from 24 weeks to 37 weeks when I delivered. I don't have 3 kids, but I do have a 2 yr old who didnt understand. I did more then I was suppose to, some mornings getting up with our son, did the breakfast lunch and dinner thing. Even did the odd gorcery order. You will survive, but try and get as much rest some rest. You can do it

Thanks ladies! It's so nice to have people that have BTDT! I was only on bedrest for a week with the girls and wasn't nearly as strict with it as I should have been and the mommy guilt still gets to me sometimes. I would just hate to have these guys at 25 weeks and know that I was pushing myself too hard. Sometimes I wish there was a magic wand to skip the next few weeks. But I know it will only get harder to juggle everything once the boys are here (especially if they have NICU time) so I'm trying to enjoy what quiet time I have now. KWIM?

I can't believe there is a website devoted to this. How great. We tried so long to get pregnant and finally did and with twins no less. Then onto bed rest at 12 weeks (I am almost to 16 now and instructed to most likely stay down until 20). Going a bit crazy. It's so great to see the support out there from others going through or have been through the same thing. The good news is bed rest does seem to be working - babies doing great.
