So I am patiently waiting for the "glow" that accompaines pregnant women... Each day that passes I get more and more upset by my pale face in the mirror. My clothes are starting to look ridiculous and comfort is a fleeting feeling. Just wanted to check in and see if anyone else is upset with their new glow-less bodies! -Fat Slug

Just wanted to check in and see if anyone else is upset with their new glow-less bodies! -Fat Slug I was told off and on for maybe a week that I was glowing...guess that glow went away when my face started breaking out, and well basically every other area of my body too. Something about pimples takes away that glow LOL Dianna
I only glowed when the light reflected off the sheen of my sweat !! I looked completely horrid all through my pregnancy; between the enormous belly, body acne, cold sores and swollen everything, it's a wonder my DH stuck with it and I'm still married!!
I'm sure you are glowing!!! don't be hard on yourself!!!!!! and you are not a fat slug! you are growing 2 healthy babies!! this is the one time being larger than you would like is ok! even good! you are beautiful - don't let anyone tell you any different!! enjoy your pregnancy! if feeling glowless and like a fat slug is the worst thing that happens - you will be doing very good!! I know it is hard to believe right now but before you know it you will be holding those sweet babies wondering where the time has gone!

The only time anyone told me I was glowing was when I had put bronzer powder on. I thought, "Oh good, the sparkles really do reflect the light".
i usually can feel the glow and ppl tell me as well, but ill send hugs :hug99: ur way and hope u start to feel better!!!!
I definitely didn't have the glow or the glorious hair. The only good thing I had going was that somehow my face breakouts went away when PG. Of course, now they are back worse than ever.

It is so funny to read about everyone else and hear the tales of suffering. I am only half-kidding about the Fat Slug stuff. In fact, I like my new nickname. I just ran over to Target at lunch and dropped a small fortune on skin care products. I am going to manufacture the 'glow'! Fat Slug is proud of herself for this new approach.
OMG! I'm still laughing!!! That's exactly what I did yesterday! I'm really pleased with the "Boots" line sold at Target. The concealer is nothing short of magic at covering the circles under my eyes when combined with six other products and low lighting... No glow here unless I am "glow-ering" at someone who annoyed me Donna
No glow here! I work with 6th graders all day and I swear I have more zits than they do. Yuck. I'm thinking of getting a spray on tan - I really hate how pale I look.
No glow here either. I was wondering what happened! I've tried all kinds of skin care products but to no avail. I was even about to try proactive, then decided against it at least until after the twins arrive because I know normally my skin is not this hideous. Hopefully my face will at least go back to normal; since I'm not expecting anything else to B)
If anyone knows of a good product for acne all over the body, please share. Can't take it much more. Dianna

You were glowing the other day!! And glow is another way to say you look hot... people said I glistened and glowed.. I was just hot.

No glow here unless I am "glow-ering" at someone who annoyed me Donna :rotflmbo: :rotflmbo: have not got the glow either...never been a glower...i get the pigmentation, last preg i looked like a raccoon, and we don't even have them in australia!! somepeople are just naturally glowers i think, i tend to just look tired and sometimes bloated, though i do not have the achne yet...yet..maybe a million stretch march will make up for that since i have none of those after 2 preg. i have found a great product though..let me get off the lounge..aaarrggg...and check the name... ok.. now i live in australia so i am not sure what revlon products are available in the us, but it is called.. REVLON SKINLIGHTS, face illuminator (yeah, thats what I'm talking about!!) it's a loose powder with its own brush in a separate compartment .75 ounces. I have mine in the golden light tone. I swear by it. It honestly gives, (me anyway) , a nice dewy glow without looking fake. I don't wear makeup everyday, but when i do, i apply my foundation and sweep a small amount of this over my face and neck. I use a different brush to the one supplied, i found application was better and easier with a huge soft blush brush. I love it too on my cleavage (love my preg cleavage). hope someone might find that useful. and i guess pp is correct in saying we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves, just because we feel like crap doesn't mean we look it. I love the way pregnant women look , but i sure as **** don't reckon I look that good and healthy but hey...maybe we do!
No glow here either. I do have the acne though. For about a minute I felt like a teenager, but then I realized that i was waaaaay older than that and no matter how bad my face breaks out I'll never look that young again. lol No one has ever told me I was glowing, but they do all tell me how mean I look.

Loved the racoon comment. I was told by my cousin, "...in this picture the circles under your eyes look like death warmed over!" My dh stood up for me and said something to her which made me feel a little better. But today with use of all my new products especially the eye lightener and highliter kit I actually resemble a human and not a relative of the rodent family. I also bought a daily face cream with self tanner in it. I am hoping to look very tan by Christmas! Hang in there Ladies!
