I haven't been on here in a while (busy at work :))
but I just wanted to give some hope to those of you moms (like me) who have been anxiously waiting for your kids to utter those first words...
    IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!
    YAY!
The boys will be 2 at the end of march and they finally have more than "uh-oh" in their vocabulary
they know a few signs from ECI, but I stopped pressing the issue on the speaking and voila!
we now can say dah-dee, mama, ya-ya (sissy), bubba, bah (ball), and most recently bee-bee (baby)
i know that's not much for the average child to be saying at this point, but hey, I'll take it :)
    so, don't worry moms
    it WILL happen!

Oh how wonderful! Thanks for posting. I have an almost three year old boy that really just started talking within the last 6 months. It's still sometimes hard to understand him, but at least he's communicating.

    Thanks everyone!
There was a time when I was reading too much and got myself worried...
everything said they should have x amount of words...etc etc
and my boys weren't even close to that
but I asked myself...am i worried that the're NOT going to talk EVER...?
    and the answer was no...
they'll just do it on their own time...
    just like a man
