My daughter Molly will be 1 in about a month. I am having trouble picking a toy out for her. I had the same problem at christmas time too, cause she really doesnt need anything since she is just behind the boys. I was thinking of getting her this pricey stroller. I figure at this point it would be a great walking toy and then she could use it when she gets older. Stroller

For christmas I got her her 1st doll which was also pricey but beautifully made. Do you think this is ridiculous to spend my money on?

How do others with babies within 1.5 years of their twins deal with buying them gifts. I already have so many toys? If anything the boys could use some new stuff.

I don't think your crazy, we all have things we spend money on that might seem strange to someone else. My girls are only 20 months behind my son. He had enough toys for a small village and buying them stuff also seemed ridiculous to me. For that first birthday we bought things all the kids could use. Like a picnic table for the backyar and a sandbox. We let friends and family purchase the toys.

That tea set is so cute.

I think the stroller is adorable as well. She will love pushing it. My girls have a stroller that is too high for them to push, and they still have a blast pushing it. That have the itty bitty twin stroller (the tandem one) that they each got when they turned one.

They also love pushing a toy shopping cart.

I think she'll LOVE that stroller!! She'll never know if it's the ONLY toy she gets for her bday and you'll have one very nice piece that will do SO MUCH later on!! It'll cart all of her toys around and provide storage and a walk behind! I think it's something she'll use for - at a minimum - a FULL year beyond her first bday!

Ouch that is pricey! But if that is all she gets she will use it a LONG TIME. My girl played with doll strollers until 6! That is well made that it might even turn into an heirloom? I think a few really nice toys are so much better than tons of other toys. I think my kids have too much toys sometimes and that makes them not care to take care of them? I do teach them too of course but they are 2? Nuff said [IMG]

Wow, they have some cute stuff...not sure I would spend $120 on the stroller though. Just my opinion. Really, how long would she really get use out of it. Mine love their cheepy Graco ones for like $9.99 at Target...lol! But, that stuff is all very neat and very different.

On that note, I can't believe she is turning 1 so soon!! Seems like yesterday when she was born! WOW!

That is really cute stuff, but for me personally I wouldn't spend that much on a doll stroller. I don't think it is a bad thing if you can afford it, just not something I would do. I would keep searching online until I found something similar at a lower price.

Although the stroller price seems high, it looks really well made.

We have already gone through two toy strollers, one no-name brand and one graco. My kids are pretty rough on their toys!

So, one better quality stroller might be a great option and it really justifies the price.

The toys look beautifully made and durable. With that said I think my DH would be very upset if I ever spent that amount on a doll stroller. However, if you could afford it and you know that she'll have it for a while I say go for it.

I can't believe we are that close to 1!!! I am having the same problem finding something for Brandon. Difference is he is a boy following 2 boys, so he really doesn't need anything. Mine will probably get books, and clothes. Can you see the stroller or is it something you will have to buy online? My fear is that until she is really confident walking she might put to much pressure on the handle and flip the stroller. It doesn't look like it is designed as a walker so to speak. Also how big is it from bottom to top of handle. If nothing else when she grows bored of it, it is pretty enough you can make it part of the house decor [IMG].

My twins LOVE the Tupperware shape sorter toy - they both started doing it on their own about a month or two ago. My kids destroyed the doll stroller we bought for our DD for CHristmas, so if you get a stroller, make it a cheap one!

I love the stroller! I might also want to search around for similar but less expensive, but since it sounds like you haven't had to buy too much just for her, it may be worth it to you. My 4 year olds still love their doll strollers, and one like that even a tomboy could use. Tea sets and cooking toys also get daily use around here, even from my less girly one.

You get so much more mileage out of toys that require and encourage imagination. To me, any amount spent on an x-box or anything similar is too much (then again, mine are still little).

That stroller does look well made, but it also looks very simple to make. Lori, my BIL could make it for you for 12 dollars! (but the shipping would be about a hundred dollars) My father is also an amature woodworker and made me a doll cradel when I was about 4, I still have it, if I could just get to their house to pick it up the girls could play with it. Wooden toys are great and last for generations, unlike the plactic cheapies that just end up in the landfill. But I think a lot of the commercial companies that sell them in the US charge a lot. Maybe you could find a local wood worker to make one from the photo. I agree that it looks great, and would make a great toy cart as well as a stroller.

Great Idea Mellisa!!! [IMG] I will look into that. My best friend keeps telling me I am stupid but I feel if I get her a few plastic toys (which I have enough of already) the boys will just take them over this I can keep under wraps with me till she is old enough to fend them off. I will let her use it under close supervision till then though.

On a side note, make sure what ever you get does not tip over. We have the Little Tikes doll buggy(the older model) and it would tip while they were pushing it (handle on the floor and front up in the air) and this would hit them in the head. Or they would get in the stroller and it would tip over with them in it. We had to put it away to keep them from getting hurt.
