    Hello [IMG]

Well we´ve all but decided the names (early I know, but I´m so excited).
Since me and DH are from different countries it was a bit tricky to come up with something that could work in both languages.

Anywhoo...we´re going to call them Natalie and Isabel [IMG]

What do you guys think ?

I like them! We were in the same situation, we are a bilingual couple and wanted first and formost names that would be pronounced the same or nearly the same by all the grandparents. What countries are you from? My husband is Mexican.

I love your names. My husband and I are also bilingual and it was important to me to have names that could be pronounced correctly in at least three different languages (German, English and Spanish). Especially because I had a terrible time growing up with my own name being mispronounced and misspelled my whole life.
Natalie was on my list too!
We are having two girls too.

My hubby and I are also from different counties and have compromised by each choosing a name in our native language (English and Greek)

Your names are beautiful and so feminine

Thanks for all your feedback [IMG]

To those in the same bilingual shoes as us. I´m from Iceland and he is from Ireland. He kinda wanted an irish name, but they are hard even for english speaking people to pronounce as the spelling and pronounciation are two completely different things...

for example the irish name Niamh is pronounced Neaf and if an icelandic person tried to pronounce it it would be "Neeee-amph"...so that didn´t work *lol*

But we had the same thing though if we were going for a "pure" Icelandic name, we have letters in the alphabet that don´t even exist in english.

So it took a bit of searching. But Natalie and Isabel (or ÃÂsabel as it we would spell it in Iceland) we hope will work in both countries.

I love them! I do prefer Isabel spelled Isabelle, but it's really the same name.
