There was a post not to long ago about our OB's and giving gifts. I have also heard of giving gifts to the fathers. You know, "man-ly" things. Do think you will be giving your dh's/partners father/mother "day" gifts? And what are you getting them? I think I'd like to do something specail for Jim?

When my daughter was born, I had gotten my husband a special card to give him after I delivered along with a frame that said "Daddy's Girl" on it... it made him melt....
I will try to be that good this time but it's been 5 years and I'm not sure I am that good anymore.

What I also did for my daughter the day she was born was write her a letter that I plan to give her on her wedding day. It tells all about what I was feeling when she was born and how amazing I thought she was....
It's not a gift I can give her for a very long time, but I hope she will treasure it.....

I am not sure if I will get my H a gift or not but I do know he has something planned for me.

Anyone getting older siblings a gift? My son will finally be a big brother and wondering what to give him. I had a shirt made for him that says "I'm the big brother of twins!" with his name but he is four and I think he could careless about the shirt :)

I never thought about the new babies OR the older kids. Those are both really good ideas! That would be great for the 2 older girls.

One of my friends just had a baby about 6 weeks ago. She has a son who is nearly 4. She had been in the hospital on bedrest up until the time she delivered and after delivery realized she hadn't gotten her son a gift from his new little sister. I told her I would take care of it. I went to Target and got him a Lego set from his baby sister. (I snuck it in the room when he wasn't looking.) He loves it and tells everyone that he got it from Madison! (It also gave him something to do while they were still at the hospital.)

I am planning on getting something for our daughter from her baby sisters. Just not sure what.....maybe a doll or twin dolls!

Good idea, I haven't even thought about a gift for my DH. I'm not sure if I can be creative enough at that point---so I'll have to start giving it more thought now. ;)

However, we do plan on giving our two little girls a "Big Sister" gift at the hospital. When our 2nd daughter was born, we gave our oldest (3 years old @ the time) an AquaDoodle. She LOVED it & it gave her something to do at the hospital. She would tell everyone that her new baby sister brought it with her from mama's belly. lol

I plan to make hubby a mug with the first ultrasound picture of our twins! Since I'm homebound right now, I'm gonna order it online and have it delivered while he's at work. Hope he'll like it though!
