Ok I know I had another topic on this but I went out on friday and I am still at a lost.
Brandon is done...(almost) But Brianna I am still at a lost completely.
I did get here some pixo's and a little baby alive doll at walmart. Not sure if I am going to keep it but it was only$10 so I got it for now.
She sort of wants the one that goes #1 and #2 but I am not sure if I want to spend that much on a doll that I know she will only play w/it when she can feed it and I would have to buy stock in food and diapers for the doll.

We did get a few games from game stop she can share w/her brother for the wii but we got gamecube games cuz they are cheap and you can use them on the wii..

They got leapsters last year but they have enough games for that.

I dont know I am at a complete lost on her.

I would really like to get her a laptop toy but all the ones I have seen are just to cheaply made and the reviews are bad...I have this feeling if she looked at it and it wasnt almost like mine she would not play w/it at all...she doesnt like the ones that she has seen but keeps saying she wants a computer...I tell you want she thinks she is much older than she is....

So what did anyone else get over the weekend for there 5 year olds

I know I should just get whatever but if I am going to spend the $$$ I want something that is going to be good and that she will play w/etc and not be a waste of money if you know what I mean.

    Thanks so much.

I always suggest books. I could spend my entire Xmas budget on kids' books!

Also, art kits are always a fun choice. Craft stores like Michael's and Hobby Lobby have tons of them. It's extra fun, because it's something you can do with her. Board games are also good for that reason. My boys are 6 and they LOVE Clue Jr., Cadoo, Ziggity, Uno Attacks, and Apples to Apples Jr.

Annie will be 6 on Friday. She went browsing through Meijer one day and decided she wanted Twister. I found Hopscotch Twister . I was going to get her a Glow Station, but the first store didn't have it and I ultimately decided it would cause more problems with the little girls.

Annie loves artsy stuff, but it tends to end up all over the house and often falls into the wrong hands. Last year she loved AquaDoodle things.

Hope you get some good ideas!

I would not buy her a laptop, certainly not a real one. That is way too much money. I know for us we are trying very hard to be frugal, so something like that would be out of the question. From what I read in your PC post, money is tight for you guys too. I just would hate to spend that kind of money and have it not hold up.

My 5 year old nieces play with Polly Pockets, baby dolls, barbies, and any kind of play dress up stuff, princess stuff, webkins. I know that my 3 year old is getting into Barbies and we were able to buy some at Big Lots for $5/piece. (a girl can never have enough Barbies! :) ) I would encourage imaginative play before buying her more electronics, just my humble opinion.

My DD will be 6 in Feb., but we got her the game Connect 4, these cute accessory making kits called Gemz, lots of arts and crafts stuff like a kids scrapbook kit, painting her own tea set, etc. She was definately the tougher one to buy for this year.

OH no I would never get her a real one , i was just saying she loves mine I wish they made toy ones that where better than the chessey (sp?) they make for toddler/kids now. I would love to get her a toy one but I dont like the ones out there and neither does she.

This year is the hardest. She has tons of books and games. Anything she wants is for 9 and up. She wants a DS also but there no way this year that is something I might consider next year so I can save and look for deals.

She has barbies , dolls etc but plays for a few mins and is done..She is not really into anything which is strange but my neice was like that also.

She does like pollys but she has a ton and still is playing w/them less and less.....The only thing she pick out is games for the DS . I just wish they made cheaper wii games for more gamecube games for girls..I cant seem to find any for girls..other than bratz and that is for 10 and up.

She is so inbetween everything this year.....I would get her more games but she just doesnt like them, she plays gets mad and walks off....everytime!!!!

That is so my daughter! How can they not be into anything? WHen my sister flew in, she bought my son a spiderman transformer. Well, my daughter wanted the Ironman one. She still plays with it. But her favorite thing right now is a big piece of paper and a pen/markers, etc.

For Christmas, My sis bought her a big dollhouse at Walmart for about $65. [I can't remember what it is called.] We are going to buy some furniture for it.
