Gift ideas for second birthday

This is my first post in this forum My guys will bu turning two next month and I am getting the dreaded questions on what to getthem for their birthday. DH and I are throwing them a party at My Gym and due to the cost that was all we are getting them. In the spring we will get them trikes. They already have a kitchen and a work bench, which they love. Any gifts that went over big at this age?

The kitchen would have been my first suggestion, followed by the workbench. LOL! Do they have an outdoor playhouse? Maybe something like that? Or how about art supplies-paints, paper, crayons, etc... Do you have a wagon?

If you are looking to avoid toys and such-what about a membership to a zoo? Or a museum? For the boys first birthday, a cousin got us a family membership to a local zoo(located inside a park). I thought that was a great gift! Or if they get $, maybe that's something you and dh could put it towards.

Mr. Potato Head? My two love him, as well as cars-we only have 1,000 of them.

The kitchen was a big hit here, but since you already have that, I also second the recommendation of Mr. Potato Head. My kids also love My Pal Scout and Violet, they take those little dogs with them everywhere. My son also loves the talking Diego Rescue Pack.

I think that two is when we got them a sandbox for Easter. They still play with it! It is one of those cheap turtle ones and I'll be replacing the sand for the first time this spring.
