I want to get my husband a gift when the boys are born just for being such a wonderful supportive guy. Did anyone get their husband a gift?? I am in need of an idea for what to get him...

I don't have any good ideas, but I think it's a wonderful idea! Now that you mention it I think I'd like some ideas too. My husband has been amazing already through this pregnancy. He gets up with my kids in the morning so I can sleep in because he knows how tired I am. During the worst of my hyperemesis I was pretty much worthless and he totally took over everything when he got home from work (watching kids, cooking dinner, cleaning up, bedtime with kids, etc. etc.). He is a pretty awesome dude and I'd love to get him something to show I recognize that!

That is a great idea. I din't think if it but my DH has also done tons as i have been useless alot of this pregnancy. I don't have any great ideas but my one thought would be a set of coupons. Free night with no feedings, one sleep in late, one night out with the guys, etc.My link

I hope someone else has some good ideas.

Aw, I wish I'd thought of this! That's a great idea!

Hm, I think it would depend on what your hubby likes/wants. My husband would die twice if I got him some equipment for his studio, so I would do that for him. Or an iPad. Oh lord, does he ever want an iPad. Or a masculine diaper bag, my husband would love that.

Is there anything your husband loves to do for himself? Maybe golf? You could get him a pass for a few games (rounds? days?) of golf? Or if he loves football, maybe tickets to a game? If he enjoys cooking you could do a cooking class?

I think this is very sweet and I love the idea!

I got DH a world's greatest dad New England Patriots shirt and the girls little 18 month old my first patriots shirts for him to open in the hospital when they were born. They all got to wear them this year which was great!

I'm a father of twins so my thoughts are from the Dad's perspective.

In the fog and daze of newborn twins and sleep deprivation, I didn't really have time or energy for new gadgets or fun outings. My biggest concerns revolved around taking care of my family, getting sleep, and keeping us all afloat in the chaos of those early days.

    Some things that helped me:

Costco membership - so I didn't have to worry so much about the costs of millions of diapers
Freezer stocked with meals - so I always knew there would be something for dinner (even if I had to make it)
Having someone else take the night shift - we rotated the night shift by having a family member or friend stay with us for about two months. This let me sleep through the night at least every 3rd night. This was awesome.

I know these aren't shiny and amazing gifts at first glance but when I look back they made life with newborns so much better and survivable.

My SO would have loved (still does) a promise to get someone once every six weeks to stay with the little ones overnight so that we can go and get a cheap hotel room and spend the night with just each other and no baby monitor.
