I was told by my old OB its fine, and not a big deal...but my sister keeps telling me not to...The last pregnancy I stopped im my third trimester since I was too tired to go...

Any opinions would be great! Thanks!!

Since your OB said it was fine, then it should be. I haven't asked this question because the last time I got my nails done was for my wedding, 4 years ago, LOL

I have acrylics and my OB said it was fine. It's not like you are working in there and inhaling the fumes all day.

I agree with the PP if your Ob said its ok then treat yourself and do it. Try and sit as close to the door as you can to get some ventilation. Have fun!!

I got mine off when I got pregnant mostly because my nails were growing too fast and two weeks was too long to wait to get them done.... Then after the kids, I waited till they were about 15 mos. or something like that. That's when the "oh, I'm a person too" kicked in and I started taking care of MY needs :) Also, you wash your hands SO much when they are that little that I was worried about the mold stuff.... since it's SO hard to get out of the house at first, I waited till it got easier!

Just got mine re-done yesterday...and my toes too. I get them filled every 2 weeks...I don't think its as harmful as dying your hair...and if it makes you feel pretty, then go for it.
