I think it's been a while since we've done a thread like this, so I thought I'd start one for anybody who's interested.

Here's my info:

I'm 28, dh is 30.

Kids names & ages:
We have two girls, Josie and Bella, born 2/17/06 at 34w1d, so they're 9 1/2 months old.

Natural conception or did you need help:
They are IVF babies, and we were lucky and got them on the first try.

Do you work?
I am an attorney and have decided to put my career on hold to raise the girls. I work part-time, right now one day a week, teaching legal classes to paralegal students at a technical college.

What does your dh do?
My dh is a PA, physician assistant, in psychiatry.

Hobbies & interests:
I spend most of my time with the girls. I really like to read though, and try to do this whenever I get a chance. And of course I love twinstuff.

Something unique about you or your family:
My dh and I both come from large families. I have 5 sisters and my dh has 3 brothers and a sister.

Your age and dh's age:
I'm 29, dh is 30.

Kids names & ages:
We have a boy and a girl, Roshan and Asha, they were born at 32 weeks on 04/11/06. SO they are 8 months.

Natural conception or did you need help:
They were naturally conceived, I found out I was pregnant about two weeks after we started trying and then at about 9 weeks I found out I was having twins.

Do you work?
I work in high tech as a technical account manager, however I work from home. My husband also works in high tech as a manager, but out of the house.

Hobbies & interests:
Well my hobbies have changed a lot since I've had the twins. I love reading and inventing projects that need to be done around the house. This is easy since we just moved into our new home a few months ago so there is a lot that needs to be done. And of course the twins are my ongoing lifelong "project".

Something unique about you or your family:
My babies are a mix, I am Asian-Indian (Sikh) and my husand is Jewish, and this holiday season we will be celebrating Christmas. Go figure.

 

I'm 22 and DH is 25

We have two girls, Emma Gracie aka Gracie and Madison Leigh aka Maddie, born at 35w6d on 1/27/06, they are 10 months and 1 week old.

Natural conception...we had a m/c before the conceiving them and I have noticed alot of other people who m/c having naturally conceiving twins on the next try...strange, huh???

I am SAHM with my own small in home business, and I start photography classes in January...I hope to open my own studio one day doing portrait, child, and wedding photography.

My DH works for a company that sells books and other very cool products to schools and businesses around the state.

I spend almost all my time with my girls and on here...and working on building my business. I love taking pictures and fixing them on the computer. I love making jewelry, painting, scrapbooking, etc.

Something unique about my family...hmmm...we are the only people in our entire family on both sides that have twins or any multiples

I'm 33 and my DH is 34, we are 8 days shy of a full year apart!

Natural conception or did you need help:
They were all natural!

Do you work?
Yes, as a SAHM. I was going to school until I figured that I was pregnant in 8/05. I will go back to get a degree as a special education teacher.

What does your dh do?
My dh works in a warehouse

Hobbies & interests:
Taking care of all my sons, shopping for things for them and taking pics of them.

Something unique about you or your family:
I found out Saturday that my grandma, my mom's mom, had 3 sets of twins!

My age is 28, DH is 32.

My kids are David, 6 (almost 7!), Emma, she just turned 2, and James & Sean 4.5 months old.

All my kids were natural... are you suggesting they're artificial?? Couldn't resist!

I'm a SAHM and, of course, a TS mod.

DH is an apprentice plumber. What that means is he can new pipes into new buildings, but he can't fix our leaky kitchen sink.

Hobbies: If I had time - sewing, cooking, knitting. I love TS too.

Something unique about our family. Ummmmm, hows this for strange. My mom recently learned that she has a half brother and he is a soap opera actor. That's pretty darn unique.

We have two girls, Lilly and Kate, born 1/10/06 at 29 weeks GA. They're "identical."

Natural conception or did you need help:
Natural conception in the midst of having infertility testing done by an RE. The word "twins" totally blew me away. We were 1 cycle away from Clomid+IUI.

Do you work?
Right now I SAH, but I need to start getting back to work soon. I am an advertising copywriter and plan to freelance a few days a week, which is totally doable in my field.

What does your dh do?
He's a 3D animator.

Hobbies & interests:
These days, it's babies babies babies. Before they were born I liked to knit, travel, read, and cook. I hope to do at least some of that again someday.

To my knowledge, my girls are the first twins in at least 4 generations on my side of the family.

Natural conception-a Christmas gift-at 9 weeks found out by u/s that it was twins.

Do you work?
I work at home, I'm a SAHM and there never seems to be any downtime.

What does your dh do?
My dh works is a Public Works Supervisor for a small town along the coast.

Hobbies & interests:
I loved to read novels, don't have much time for that anymore; I read easy-to-read books now. I also like to do crafts, which I'm trying to do with my daughter so that it can be our time together.

My parents have blessed me with a large family. I have 8 brothers and 4 sisters. My husband has 1 brother. All together I have 15 neices and 6 nephews. I'm the only one, so far, with a set of twins.

I'm 30.5, dh is almost 34 in a few weeks.

Kids names & ages:
We have two girls, Alyssa and Hanna, born 5/03/03 at 34w, so they're 31/2 years old.

Natural conception or did you need help:
Natural Conception right after a miscarriage. Like PP, I had a miscarriage and found out 4 weeks later I was pregnant. Had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and only saw one. Then at 8 weeks there were two, that was a day before Thanksgiving in 2002.

Do you work?
I am a Program Analyst for the Federal Government (FAA)

What does your dh do?
My dh is a Network Engineer for the FBI.

Hobbies & interests:
I spend most of my time with the girls. I like to garden, do crafty projects and read. AKA to my DH as no interest at all.

Something unique about you or your family:
My sister and I are the first living set of twins in our generation. The other two sets ended in one being still born or miscarriage. A few generations back, there was another set of Fraternal Twins. My girls are the first Identical Set of twins. Lke I said, the theory of twins after miscarriage.

We have twin girls, Olivia Rose and Juliet Faith, born 7/9/06 at 33w, so they're almost 5 months old.

Shots and IUI

Do you work?
Nope...SAHM. I submitted a part time work proposal to my employer but they didn't accept it. So, I quit.

What does your dh do?
Process Engineer

Hobbies & interests:
Twinstuff board, Fertility Friend, The Nest....love country decorating, shopping, dancing, talking with friends on the phone!

Something unique about you or your family:
I have two girls and my sister has two boys!!

I'm 32, dh is 36.

We have a six year old (Gabe) a four year old (Evelyn) and the twins were born at 36w 3d and they are one month old.

Natural conception or did you need help:
We had to have my tube cleaned out. We need to to that with every pregnancy. Thus, we had fertility help but they were natural twins, no clomid or IVF

Do you work?
I am a high risk pedactric and pregnancy dietitian. I work two days a week (or I will when I go back!)

What does your dh do?
Dh is a computer geek at the local hospital!

Hobbies & interests:
My kids!!! Research about health. Walking (when I have time!). KNitting

Something unique about you or your family:
My husband is an only child and I am pretty much an only child (my nearest sibbling is many years younger than I am). We have a very different extended family! My husband comes from wealth and they all live in NYC. I come from generational poverty and they all live in the backwoods of northern Michigan. We are stuck in the middle - makes our family gatherings interesting!

 

This is the first time I've posted on this board, so I'll use this as my intro...

Your age and dh's age:
We're both 29, I'm 6 days older

Kids names & ages:
We have identical boys, Joseph & Kaden, age 10 mo., born at 36w6d, and Jessica, our angel that we lost to Turner's Syndrome at 21w

Natural conception or did you need help:
No help here...Had an ultrasound for bleeding at 8w and the doc who did it found one heartbeat and didn't look any further. (Gotta love military health care) Another US at 11w proved what my husband suspected all along - two babies!

Do you work?
I'm an RN, but taking a couple years off to stay with the boys while they're little and dad is deployed

What does your dh do?
He's a Captain in the army, headed to Afghanistan sometime early next year.

Hobbies & interests:
I ride horses in my spare time, which means not nearly as often these days!

Something unique about you or your family:
I do a sport called endurance riding, where I ride my horse 50 to 100 miles in one day. The boys have already been "camping" at their first endurance ride at age 8 mo. We were quite a site, my mom pushing a stroller around camp all day and me nursing my kids after each loop of the race while my horse rested.

Conceived during the second Clomid treatment

I am psychologist, worked at the university counseling center and had a great private practice till I was put on bedrest at week 20 of my pregnancy. Now I'm on leave till Sept. to be at home with the girls.

What does your dh do?
He's a manufacturer of paper products

Hobbies & interests:
I love reading, walking and am a closet writer!

Something unique about you or your family:
I am a Greek American living in Greece and trying to combine cultures, traditions and languages to give the babies the best of both sides of the family. Also, I am a practicing Buddhist in the middle of a very Christian Orthodox country. It's going to be a balancing act!

Natural, weren't even really trying to get pregnant.

Do you work?
Yes I work part time at a company I have been with for 6 years doing accounting.

He works in the parts department at a porche dealership.

Hobbies & interests:
I really don't have time anymore! But I would like to start working out again, I love reading, and we hope to start camping again next summer (we took this summer off lol).

I have 2 older half siblings I have never met! I hope to one day though

I'm 33 and he's 31

Evan Alexander and Ava grace born 6/19/06, so they are 5 1/2 months

Natural or need help:
Needed a little assistance from the RE where I worked. We did a year of clomid, then Letrozole with no luck. While being worked up for an IVF study, we did a cycle of Gonal F w/insemination and we got the twins

Do You Work:
Am a SAHM after the birth of the twins. This is the first time since I was 18 that I didn't have a formal job to go to, being s SAHM is a far more demanding and rewarding job than any other I have ever held!!!

What does DH do:
DH is a Paramdic/Firefighter and Lead Engineer at his Fire Department. He also works in the ER as a paramedic.

Hobbies and Interests:
Before the babies, I loved to travel, read, lay out by the pool with a cold drink, just overrall relax and take it all in!!

In a former life I loved reading, crafts, cooking and watching football. As I live currently, my hobby is seeing how many things I can multitask simultaneously.

I think we have the most "connected" household on the face of the earth...4 cellphones (3 users), 3 landline phones, 9 desktop computers(even Micah has his own), 2 servers and 2 laptops...this is a byproduct of DHs job, he is always getting the latest gadgets for us to test before springing on work.

Natural. We were trying for about 6 months and got blessed with these two.

I am now a SAHM. I use to work as an event manager for Marriott. But the hours and pay were not worth it for us.

Hobbies & interests:
I love to play with my boys, read, TS. If we are really lucky and grandparents are available, we go to the occasional movie.

My dh's father is a butcher and owns a meat store, so we get all of our meats from him.

I am a clinical psychologist but have not worked since before the girls were born. I (sort of) hope to start again part time in the near future.

Bookworm, hiking, almost any sport (as if I’ve had a chance to do any of them since becoming a mummy)

My dh works for Pepsi as a Sales Rep.

Hobbies & interests:
I love going to concerts with my DH. I also like traveling, camping, and hanging out with friends and family!

I am the only one on my side of the family with twins as far as we know! They were a COMPLETE surprise and blessing!

Natural--total shock since their haven't been twins in my family for several generations. We found out at our 20 week ultrasound--I about feel off the table!!

Do you work?
I work as a SAHM. In my previous life, I worked as an accountant/compliance officer/auditor.

What does your dh do?
My dh works for the Catholic church in education and he's a professor of Catholic theology.

Hobbies & interests:
I'm quite busy now, but when I have a minute I like to read, garden, cook, arrange flowers, decorate, watch movies, I'm part of a Bunco group!... I really love to travel, but haven't done much since the babies...

Something unique about you or your family:
My dh's mother owns a Bowling Alley so we get to bowl for free when we visit (5 hours away). I'm from a big family, 8 siblings. My parents have a total of 24 grandchildren and 1 on the way. My name is Germaine--very unique

We will both be turning 34 in a few weeks (Xmas Eve for me and Jan. 2nd for DH)

We have the twins Chloe & Bryce who are 7 months old today!
My DH also has a 15 yr old daughter who used to live with us for awhile, but does not live with us now (long story, but he didn't find out about her until she was six).

I work full-time in high tech leading up a Project Management Office.

My DH owns his own residential painting company

Hobbies & interests:
Pre-babies, we loved to go camping and travel to tropical places, as well as hit the casinos a couple times a month, but now, pretty much everything revolves around the babies and work. In my very, very limited freetime (which is usually after they go to bed), I TRY and make jewelry, read, check out TS or play with the furbabies (cats and dogs). I'm hoping we can resume our camping hobby this coming summer since the babies will be a year old.

Something unique about you or your family:
Hmmm, this is a hard one. We're pretty run of the mill . The one thing I can think of that usually trips people out is that I used to be a private investigator for almost 7 years - took over my father's business after he retired.

 

Your age and dh's age:
I'm 39 (officially the oldest one to yet respond) I turned 39 two weeks after the twins were born. My husband will be 34, so yes, I am older than him.

Kids names & ages:
My daughter, Safia Luna will be 7 in February. My 7 pound twins, Mary Alice and Simon John are three months old.

Natural conception or did you need help:
Natural. We were shocked I was even pregnant, since DH was told after an accident, that he wouldn't be able to make children. (My older daughter is from my first marriage)

Do you work?
I am a health educator

What does your dh do?
He works in construction

Hobbies & interests:
I have many interests and little time. I like to read, surf the internet, television and LOVE music. I have eclectic tastes.

Something unique about you or your family:
My husband has 11 siblings. I work in a jail.

I'm 37, dh is 43.

Kids names & ages:
Kevin is going to be 9 the day after Christmas, fraternal twin girls Annie and Erin are 6 months. My son that was stillborn would have been 7 years old this past summer.

Natural conception or did you need help:
Kevin was conceived naturally. The girls were IVF babies. The lab had 3 embryos all ready to transfer and at the last minute I asked them to only put back 2 of them. I feel extremely lucky that both of them stuck and even luckier that we didn’t put that 3rd one back. Things would have been soooo much different and harder with triplets.

Do you work?
I am now a SAHM but have worked mostly in customer service, most recently for FedEx.

What does your dh do?
My dh is a paralegal, now doing deed research for a natural gas pipeline going through our area.

Hobbies & interests:
Most of my hobbies and interests revolve around being a mom. I have been a professional seamstress off and on for years and now I make things like baby carriers, blankets and seat liners for my strollers, crib sheets, and so on. I’m frugal and love to shop for bargains online and in stores!

Something unique about you or your family:
Well, I’m over 6 feet tall and dh is 5’8, if that qualifies as interesting. My almost 9 yo ds is autistic and doesn’t talk however in March he is getting an assisted communication device that we are hoping will help him communicate. I’m also taking online classes to prepare to go back to school to become an RN. My goal is to work in the NICU as a nurse practitioner. With twin babies it’s going to take me a while but I’ll get there eventually!

I'm a Marketing VP for an acne skin care line.

He's a design engineer, they make automation machinery.

Hobbies & interests:
Music. I used to go to lots of concerts/shows, someday I will go out again. I love music, reading and the beach.

Needed help Clomid worked but I had been on clomid 3 years ago for a year and nothing even happened. So 2 years later we try again and bam get twins!

Do you work?
I'm a Commercial Insurance Agent. I work out of my home.

What does your dh do?
He is a service manager

Hobbies & interests:
I love to go boating. Before we had the twins my dh and I owned a beautiful wakeboarding boat. But once we had the girls we knew we wouldn't be getting out on that anytime soon.

My dh and I did not like each other when we first met. I thought he was a jerk and well.... he thought I was a you know what. I always ask myself why did he call me for pizza a couple of weeks later? The rest is history!
