Carlie start throwing up Friday night...thought it was a slight bug since Claire was Wed. Well, it went into Wed. which was WAY longer than Claire had it. So we thought it could be teething or AR. Talked to the ped on Sunday and was told that we needed to start her back up on her AR meds and if she was still sick on Monday to bring her in.

Yesterday she did not throw up at all and was in a fairly good mood all day...we really thought she was getting better.

This morning she was fine, but then very crabby this afternoon again and she threw up again will taking her bottle a little while ago!! I don't understand what is causing this.

She has been on cereal for 2 months and baby food for 1.5 months.

I will most likely take her in tomorrow to the pedi.

Just tired and frustrated with the throwing up and crying.

I'm sorry I have no suggestions. I just wanted to give you a big :hug99: and hope you get some answers from the pedi tomorrow.

I have a friend whose baby had pyloric stenosis (sp?) & kept vomiting...she said he actually lost 14 oz in 24 hours...did you happen to ask your ped about that? I don't know how old babies are when they typically get it...hers was 2 weeks old & had to have surgery at that time...he's great now though & is almost 3 years old. Funny...we were just talking about that today...I'm no doctor, just wanted to throw that out there. I hope your baby is much much better soon! It's so hard when they are so little & sick, isn't it?

Thanks for the info!!! She threw up only the one time tonight and went to sleeper a little easier tonight, but still was being held by her daddy. I will call tomorrow regardless. It is sooo tough when they are this little and not their normal self!

My son had this. It is most typical around 3 weeks of age (in full term infants) and occurs in about 1/300 first born males and less frequently in females. It is PROJECTILE vomiting at every feeding and gets worse over the course of a few days. It requires surgery. I don't think it's PS based on what the OP is describing.

Has she had a cold? Mucous is VERY irritating to the stomach and mine sometimes throw up when they have a really runny nose and lay down to sleep.

Poor thing :( I hope she feels better soon!

sorry to hear you are all suffering. wondering - possibly teething causing the crabbiness? Or she could be sick. the two might not be related at all.....

My girls were on AR meds til about six months when they basically weaned themselves from them; they still throw up periodically; not as much as before but - well, sometimes its 2x in one day, MASSIVE reflux, sometimes they go a few days w/out.......wish i could offer more help. I do know that mine have been sick and what i thought was AR was simply them puking....but i was so used ot it that EVER major spit up seems like reflux to me!

definitely take her to the doc and get reassured.

I took her in today. She hasn't thrown up again and of coarse was a normal as can be during the appt.! She was a bit better tonight too. She also has had her hands and feet turn purple and be cold. I took her in before Christmas on this. We discussed it then, and then it seemed to have gotten better. However, since the weekend it was bad again. So she is getting a chest xray tomorrow. Doc thinks she is fine, but better to be safe than sorry. I know that she was taking it seriously b/c one of their patients (PC post) died of SIDS today at 6 months....they are very shaken up there.
