Getting ready to walk?

    Madison has been pulling herself up on everything for about a month now. She is really good at it and is really careful about getting back down also. Well this weekend she pulled up on their and pushed the Fisher Price Sing Along Stage - used it like a walker - taking 5 steps!! Oh boy.......does this mean she might being trying to do this on her own really soon?

    She might cruise for a little bit before walking. My daughter is now walking as of 3 days ago but she would walk holding on to the walls for months before letting go. She loved to push her stroller around the house. Now my son pushes it!

    Congrats!! She'll be walking soon!

    If she stands pretty well you can stand her up a few fee from you and let go and have her practice taking steps to you and then make a huge deal out of it clapping and stuff-then just keep scouting further away...this is what we did/do. I now have one walker and one almost walker. The things they push and walk behing are great practice too!

    Yes, it does! More than likely :). It's fun to see them start to walk.

    If not independently walking than definitely cruising! Mine cruised and then walked all within about a month, but we have friends whose daughter cruised for a couple of months before she got brave enough to let go. Regardless, it will happen evidentally so start preparing and baby proofing now :)

    It all depends is the answer. Our babies have been cruising around holding onto furniture for about a month now, and I don't see any signs that they are ready to walk on their own yet (their balance is still not quite good enough). I figure sometime in the next few months we will have walkers! its so much fun to see them learn and grown right now!

    ITA-it really depends. DD pushed items around at 6 months and then walked at 10 months.
