I'm getting the camping bug & anxiously waiting for warmer weather so we can go! I was talking to dh the other night, though, about where the twins will sleep when we do go camping. We have a large motorhome & last year we squeezed in the PNP (which was a very tight fit!) for ds to sleep in and then we set up another bed that dd & I shared. The hard thing about that was, she always goes to bed earlier than I do & getting her to stay in the bed was hard. We tried bed rails, but it's too long for just 1 and too short to put 2 in.

I thought, maybe I should try letting them nap in my bed here at home to get used to sleeping w/o rails all around......but I'm afraid that would totally mess up naps. I mentioned to dh perhaps we should convert the cribs to toddler beds now & they can get used to sleeping that way, but he was totally against it.

    What do you think?

We want to take our twins camping too! They got kid mummy sleeping bags at X-Mas so we were planning on using them to keep them somewhat contained. We have a pop up trailer with a big bed on one side and a smaller bed on the other. We will start all together on one side and see how it goes. The best advice I heard was to try it out in our backyard first so we can see what we need without being so far away. Good luck!

We have a pop up and we bought some air matresses from One Step Ahead that have kind of an inflatable bed rail around it. It has worked really good with the twins. We just put one kid at each end and DH and I both sleep with them. We put them on the inside and we sleep on the outside... just in case.

We used to bring extra pillows and lay them in a sort of corral shape around the edge. Then toss a blanket over the whole thing, tuck it under the pillows and put their sleeping stuff on top. That way they couldn't roll off on to the floor. Doesn't keep them from climbing over, but they couldn't roll out in their sleep.

We just bought two Peapod Plus' for our RV adventures.

They collapse up like a play tent for easy, light travel.
