Now that we are in sbs strollers and we hit the rainy season (FL), I am getting soaked!

Usually I do look at the weather channel :) and do not go out for fun if the rain is coming,
but today we had a drs appointment in the middle of a rainy morning....

so how do you take the stroller out of the car and the two babies in without getting yourself
and the babies wet? and then getting back into the car?

I drive a mini van. So I pop open the back door and it is like a little cover. I put the stroller under that and get the babies in and out of the car that way. I move fast really. If it is a long walk or something and just pouring rain I use a large towel or recieving blanket over the stroller/car seat. Other then that, rain wont hurt them.

I just moved as fast I as could and would cover them with blankets.

I got wet. I tried to keep them dry by keeping them under the stroller sunshade (after I took the rain cover off to get them out), but they usually got wet too. It won't hurt them, and in fact when they were babies they didn't even seem to notice.

We tend to just get wet. It's raining here more often than not, so we just have to go out in the yuckiness. I also tend to use the back door of the van as cover as much as I can. For what it's worth, the kids actually like going out in the rain, it's just me who hates it!

We get wet. I always have a towel in my car to dry them off once I can put them in their car seats.

It's Florida. It rains every day during the summer. At least it's not during the cooler month! (not a typo)

I drive an SUV and use the back hatch has a canopy to set up the stroller. I then drape the umbrella over the door and roof to cover me while unlatching each of the girls. And use the umbrella to cover them as I get them to the back to strap them in. We all get a bit a wet but it is Florida and the rain is not going to stop, lol.

I really avoid going out and am so thankful our Dr. has a covered area at the entrance where we have to use the free valet. I had to go to my dr. one day and had the tandem stroller with a rain cover. What a mess! We all got a little bit wet, but it wasn't too bad. I usually go early so we are able to sit in the car until the rain calms down a bit and then make a run for it.

I bought a rain guard for our SBS stroller, which helps, but we all get a little sprinkle when I lift each one out of the stroller and put them into their car seats. I fold up the SBS with the rain guard on it. I don't mind getting a bit wet, myself, but wear a pashmina over my hair when it's wet and cold. We had to do this a lot over the winter.

I also keep a couple of dry blankets in the car and would cover them up with them after they were in their seats. I have another blanket or two for the stroller. When it was really wet I would put a blanket underneath them on the stroller and it would keep the stroller dry when I removed a baby to put him into the car, then I would turn the blanket over before putting him back in, at least in some effort to keep the boys dryer.
