This has been going on for awhile. Logan HATES to get dressed. Mason has been catching on lately too. I'm so sick of fighting them every morning and night to get dressed. Logan will pitch a fit and cry so hard he passes out - over putting pajamas on! Or he runs and hides and cries and flails the entire time once you catch him.

We've tried making it fun, hiding the toes and fingers, singing songs etc. That still works occasionally but not consistantly.
We've tried letting them do it themselves. They aren't buying this at all.
We've tried Elmo pajama's. So far this is our best bet, but I can't afford to replace all of their clothes with Elmo clothes! I am out this weekend to find plain t-shirts and printable iron-on paper so we can make Yo Gabba Gabba shirts.

Any other suggestions or anyone else fighting the same battle twice a day?

No suggestions for you, but we fight the same battle. It's exhausting. I sure wish they'd get through this phase.

We fight the same battle and just make them get dressed, they don't like it but I figure eventually they will get to see that this is part of their day. I try to let them help as much as they can (basically they can put their arms through the sleeves by themselves and step in and out of shorts/pants).

I fight the same battle. I've given up trying to make it fun. We just do it as fast as possible, usually with child pinned down with one arm, and the other arm trying to wrestle the clothes onto them. I'm thinking of maybe letting them start picking out their own clothes (from a limited option) and see if that helps?

Do you let them pick out their own clothes? I do for Alice and it makes her feel better (or at least I think so) about the whole "wearing clothes" thing. Of course, for her it's been going on since she was about 4 months old.

Of course, now she's learned to take her clothes off, so it's at least twice a day someone is wrestling with her to get her dressed.

They don't seem to care except for the Elmo pajamas, which we've only had two weeks now. If I show them three shirts Logan will just turn and run away and Mason will one by one take them from you and throw them on the floor.

Sounds like Momma and Daddy have to suck it up and keep fighting with them. I'm just having trouble seeing the light at the end of this tunnel or phase because they've pretty much always hated getting dressed. I hoped there was something I could do to change their attitude about it. I even bought the Elmo Getting Dressed video and they like it, but it didn't help - I think they are too little for that kind of reasoning though. Maybe some character t-shirts for a little while will make it ok. Anyone know where to find plain colored toddler t-shirts?

I wonder Michaels or AC Moore would have some plain colored T-shirts. I have seen plain T-shirts there (before kids) so I am not sure if they still carry them and if they have them in toddler size.

Ours have a fit after bath time especially. It's never-ending. At first I am always nice. I tell them what I'm doing, do peek-aboo, and let them hold on to the lotion bottle [they seem to like that]. When all else fails, then stern mommy comes out. I don't yell at them.. they're strong, but I am stronger ;) I try to make it pleasant, but then I end up holding them down [with my feet on either side] and get it done. It's not pleasant for anyone when they're freaking out. Something that could take ONE minute turns into FIVE. [IMG] Just know that you're not alone in all this frustration [IMG]

OH YA! It's a constant struggle with dressing! I can't wait til this phase is over.
Having them choose what shirt to wear helps a little bit though.
    Let's all hang in there.

It does make me feel better that it's not just my boys that fight it so bad! Thanks for the sanity check.
