I bought a new Jeep Liberty about a month before we had the IVF transfer. Then of course we ended up having twins and it is too small. I am way too short for the pod on top of the Jeep. Although I have a friend with triplets and she still loves her Jeep. I am thinking of getting the Toyota Highlander they have Hybrid model. I want more kids and this has three rows of seats. I really dont want a minivan, but most of my friends with twins have them. What do you suggest?

Sorry but I loved my minivan - Honda Odyssey - it was great! But over here where I live now they don't have much choice of good minivans, so we just purchased the Lexus SUV - I can't remember the model name - its their only SUV though - seem to work well.

    Good luck on your search!

I have a Yukon Denali and love it. We got the Captain's chairs in the second row so it's easier to get to the 3rd row and have the twins there, DS & 1st DD are in the 3rd row.
I have a friend who has the Highlander and she loves it (she has 2 kids).

Another minivan lover here. We have the Toyota Sienna and with 3 kids, the minivan is the best option. I love the power sliding doors and trunk (push of the remote and they open and close) and the DVD is a lifesaver. We have a Tahoe too, but the minivan is the easiest for me and all the kids to get in and out of safely.

I have the Cadillac SRX and it is the PERFECT twin-mommy-mobile!!! I had a jeep liberty and I hauled my 2 graco snugrides and my duoglider to every dealership in Houston until I found a car that fit everything. I didn't want the gas milage of the big SUV's and this was perfect. It is a crossover SUV close to a Chrysler Pacifica and kinda like a Dodge Magnum.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

We have an Explorer (without third row seating) and an Odyssey. We can squeeze the carseats in the Explorer, but it's tight kind of a pain. A lot of those cars have little to no leg room in the third row and won't work too well for everyday use. We love all the space we have in the Odyssey. I never wanted to have a minivan, but now I see it's so worth it. JMHO.

I didn't want an SUV either, so we got the Mazda CX-9...I love it! Drives like a car, but has lots of room...and a third (usable) row! Check it out...

I have 4 kiddos and a Honda Pilot. I thought it was huge before I had the twins. Not so much now. Oldest sits in 3rd row - daughter sits in middle w/ twin Graco Snugrides. I love Hondas......we have a Civic that we drive w/o the kids.

I have a Lexus RX that I love. I've had it for 5 years. I'm going to drive it as long as I can, especially since it's paid off! However, it's great for me and the girls but my husband does not fit in it very well, especially with the baby seats. He's 6'6" and not enough room for him to push the seat back now that the girls are in the back seat. So, he sold his truck and got a GMC Envoy XL and we all fit comfortably. We take this when we all go somewhere.

I saw something on TV about bad deals on certain things and for cars it said the Toyota Highlander - Hybrid version was not a good deal because it's close to $10,000 more for the hybrid version compared to the regular version and it does not hardly save you anything on gas. Now, I know nothing about cars but this is what I saw on the show I was watching awhile back.

We also went the mini van route. We have a Kia Sedona with power everything and love love love it. Just the ease of getting the car seats into the seats without having to manuver around doors. Plus the power sliding doors are awesome, and we didn't know how awesome when we finally brought the babies home and realized that the doors don't slam when they close.

I totally understand wanting to have room but not wanting to drive a minivan. I am the exact same way. I love my Ford Explorer but it sucks with gas mileage. A Toyota Highlander sounds awesome to me! :good:

We had a Toyota Highlander (LOVED IT!) and then we traded it in on a Toyota Sienna (also LOVE it - but it is a mini-van, so I don't love it quite as much as the Highlander). We have an older DS and it just wasn't very convenient (and darn near impossible) to get 3 carseats across. But our Highlander did not have a 3rd row.

I love our Sienna - it drives just like the Highlander, has a lot of storage space, and wonderful safety features! :)

    Good luck with your search!

I got a Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Edition in May and I love it!! We were considering the Nissan Murano and the Highlander. It has a 3rd row, however you can't put carseats in it. You might want to check that out with the Highlander.

I love Love LOVE our Honda Odyssey!!! It drives beautifully and it's SO easy loading up the twins, the dog and all of our stuff on trips (we drive a lot to visit family). I don't feel confined. For me I needed lots of space and I definitely have that!

I had a Lexus RX. Just last weekend, we traded in DH's small car for a minivan. DH is now driving the Lexus (MY dream car by the way) and I'm driving the minivan...a Towne & Country. I never ever ever thought the words mini van would come out of my mouth, but you know what, I LOVE it. It's so comfy. Everyone who owns one told me once I switched I would love it. I never believed them. But I do.

We have 2 boys and newborn twin girls, and I have to say that the Honda Odyssey wins it hands down for being a great kid hauler. After having this minivan, I could never go back to having a SUV. It is so easy to get the infant seats in and out, and everyone has plenty of room.
