Oh how I was hoping to avoid it with this pregnancy. :(

I failed my 1hr test at 20 weeks, but passed the 3 hour one. Now, at 30 weeks, I have failed the three hour.

Oh no, sorry to hear that! Are they letting you use diet to control it?

Yes, we will try diet control first. Ugh. I really do hate trying to balance carbs every time I put something in my mouth. And I hate cooking breakfast before work, but will have to because I won't be able to have cereal in the mornings now.

Only for 9 weeks at the most, though.

Sorry to hear about this! Glad you don't have too much longer to go. You have gone through this before? I have my first glucose test in two weeks and was thinking it may be smart to watch the sugar and carbs now. In hopes that it will keep me from failing my test. I didn't have it with my twin pregnancy. I went in for a check this last week and am measuring 30 weeks and am in my 26th week of pregnancy...hmm...I wonder what that is about and it made me suspicious of gestational diabetes. Good luck with your diet! A friend of mine went on a low carb diet and would make hard boiled eggs ahead of time and microwave pre cooked sausage links for a quick breakfast before work. Can you stand to eat shredded wheat cereal (I think it has no or very low sugar) and sweeten it with fruit, would that be low enough in sugar/carbs?? Just a couple of ideas. Take care!
