Genevieve & McKenna's First Birthday!

Holy Cow! I can't believe its been a year already!

* Summarize your last year with your little loves!!
Wow what a year! I don't really know how to summarize because it went by so fast! Let's see. We traveled to Texas when they were 4 months old to meet my parents and family. Then we flew to Washington in July to meet DH's parents and family. Genevieve did all the hard work and McKenna just copied her. For example, G worked for weeks to roll over, then the day after she did it McKenna just rolled right over out of the blue. The same went for getting up on her knees, crawling, everything. That is until McKenna started pulling up, walking, running, climbing...on everything! Genevieve decided to stop crawling everywhere about 3 weeks after McKenna had given it up for good. Genevieve is our chatty one. She will mimic ANY SOUND she hears and do it perfectly almost every time. It really is amazing and funny and cute as all get out. They both love to dance and laugh and steal toys from each other and give hugs and kisses. I can't say enough how much FUN we have had with these girls! They have brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. I know it sound crazy, but even though I can't believe its been a whole year, i also can't imagine life with out them!

* Tell us about your 1st birthday plans? Do you have a theme or something special you are going to do?

As you can see in the pics, we had a small party with just the six of us. We decided not to throw a big party because the girls get a little overwhelmed with lots of people around. I'm glad we did it this way. The theme was just "Happy 1st Birthday". They both got their first dolly AND their first truck. They had such a good time!!

They are beautiful and it looks like they had the *perfect* first birthday! I love that you gave them dollies and trucks... this is something I was planning on doing for my girls too
