    Andrew's dinner last night:

2 cups of pumpkin (they love pumpkin straight from the can)
    2 hard boiled eggs
    1.5 veggie "chicken" patties
    2 slices of toast
    2 bananas.

    :woah:

(Ivy ate about the same amount, only minus the eggs, which she hates.)

Where in the world does a skinny little string bean boy FIT all that food?! :faint: I expect his jeans to be too short starting, oh, tomorrow...

Do yours pack it away like this too?

OT but you put pumpkin right from the can onto their plate and they eat it? I might have to try that, I have a can of pumpkin.
99% of the time my girls eat like birds, but then once in a blue moon they eat a whole lot. I can't remember the last time though it's been so long.

Oh gosh I wish mine would eat like that!! all three are so picky! and apparently dont need to eat much at all.
That's so great that yours ate all of that healthy food-out of all that mine may have eaten the banana.

Wowza that IS a lot of food! My girls are pretty good eaters and occasionally do eat a lot, but not that much :D

Aimee - we just spoon the pumpkin into bowls, and they love it! It's one of the easiest veggies to get them to eat (good thing, the prep work is about zero).

Oh my goodness! That is a TON of food! Every now and then ours surprise us by being eating machines, but I don't think it has ever been quite as much as you described.....WOW!

I have never thought of canned pumpkin. I use it in muffins and pancake batter, but I never thought about serving it straight out of the can. That is a great idea and super easy!

WOW! That's a lot of food! Good for him! I don't think I've ever been able to tell when my twins were having a growth spurt based on what they ate. In fact I don't think I've ever been able to tell they were having a growth spurt ever. My friend notices these things with her 2 y/o but I never have.

That's good eating! My kids have a big eating day every once in a while (seems like every couple of weeks) and then they go back to eating like birds.

Mine go back and forth... some days they eat everything in sight and some days I wonder how in the world they are not starving!

My son eats that way. I am pretty sure he eats more than I do at every meal and he is skinny as can be. I am not quite sure where it all goes, but he definitely loves to eat!

A&R do that sometimes. I wonder where two kids who need 3T's in length and 18 month in width fit all the food they eat.

The other night, they both ate two huge pieces of pizza, then went home and ate a banana and a packet of freeze dried fruit, and drank two glasses of milk. The next morning they got up and ate two pieces of toast, two eggs, and a bowl of cereal.

    piggies.

A&A do that sometimes. I swear they seem to be bottomless pits. Other times they barely eat a thing - just when I start thinking they must be sick, they pick back up again!
