Gate at top of the stairs?

I need to buy a new gate for the top of our stairs tomorrow. We have one made by Summer and it is terrible. The latch no longer works.
I'm looking for suggestions on a good solid secure gate that is easy to use. I don't mind spending money on a good one.

We have a wooden one by Evenflo that is hardware mounted and has worked well for us! I think it was $20 at BRU. HTH

 

We have this one by the First Years and have been very happy with it.

 

We have the same one by First Years that the PP mentioned. I loved it! When your hands are full, you can still open it because you use your foot. Shortly after my DD turned 3 she was able to bounce on it and open it herself though. I bought a cat collar and used that when I wanted to be sure it stayed latched, but by that time I was only using it to keep the kids up or down, not so much for safety. It really is a nice safety gate and well worth the money.

We have this one too. It has worked great for us.
