    Hi ladies,

Our noah is a lovely and mellow baby but seems to suffer from A LOT of gas. He looks uncomfortable after eating, it breaks my heart. HE is still sucking in a lot of air while eating (he was very slow to start with the suck/swallow). We tried switching him to Similac digestease. To be honest the doc gave us Enfamil gentlease but mixing formula at this point is too much. We've been using my BM and ready made formula. He even has it come out his nose sometimes. Any advice?

Both Sophie and Noah have green poo, is this from the formula?

Thanks, any help is much appreciated.

Hmmm I'm not sure about the green poo. I don't remember seeing that with my two, but all of that time is somewhat of a blur.

Have you tried putting mylicon in his bottles?

I would try mylicon drops like the PP suggested. I get the Target brand because it is under $4. I could never tell that adding drops to my boys bottles helped at all though, but when they were older I started giving it to them straight from the dropper (it doesn't taste bad at all and they don't mind it).

I actually think Cocyntal vials were way more effective with our boys' gas and tummy pains. So maybe give them a try too. They seem to have no taste at all and our boys take them straight no problem.

Also, I've never heard of Digestease, but it sounds a lot like Enfamil Gentlease, which other moms here swear by. It didn't do much for our babies, but they were very premature so had very delicate tummies that were always upset. Maybe it will help your babies?

    Good luck!

I agree with Aimee, Mylicon might help with the gassiness. As for the green poo, if their formula contains iron, then that's what is causing the green color.

I have to agree with that. And yes, formula can make their poop green.
