I keep looking at these, I like the idea of being easier on the environment. They are cute too! Are they a real pain? I have a septic system so I would be tossing the inserts but they biodegrade so that's better than Pampers anyway. I think I would like to get them but am worried about investing all that money and then not liking them. I would like to hear about people's experiences with them. Thanks!

I don't have personal experience with them, but some other TSer posted that they are 58% more expensive than disposables. That's too bad because I would definitely be interested in trying them, but we can't spend that much on diapers.

I have them and the inserts are more $ than disposables. They are easy to use. I don't flush mine, I just throw it away. I got some regular cloth diapers, the old school kind and I am not going to use the g-diapers anymore. They are super cute though!

We use the gdiapers but I do not use the inserts. I take a regular prefold diaper from Babies R Us and I fold it and put it in the liners. They work great! You just have to make sure that the liner is in their crease of their leg to prevent leaks. My mom bought me two starter kits for $27 each - it comes with 2 gdiapers, 4 liners, and 10 inserts. Two sets have been plenty for us. I reuse the diaper (it rarely gets wet, even when they leak), and I will reuse the liner - if it gets poopy, then I rinse it in the tub, let it dry and reuse. I have about 30 prefolds and that lasts us around 2-3 days. We have been pleased with it - it took us a few days to get the diapers folded the right way, but once we got the hang of it - it was great!

I wanted to use these, but my husband is not into the price of the inserts! Prefold cloth diapers might work like a pp said though. Good tip!

I have used them and have not had any problems. They are really simple and cute. I initially just got the starter kit to try it and got more later.
