Okay, I had a weird night last night. I have been sleeping on my left side for at least for the past two months and last night I kept getting a burning and tingling sensation going up and down my left leg. After that my leg would go numb. It kept happening through the night which did not make for a good night's sleep, so I am super cranky today. Today my leg feels fine and I was talking to my Mom who suggested that I bring this up to the doctor the next time I go. Is this just one of the babies laying on nerve or something?

Sounds like sciatica, your sciatic nerve runs from your spine down your leg, and often gets pushed on during pregnancy. I haven't experienced this myself so I don't know if there is anything that helps, hopefully someone else will have a better answer.

Oh man do I remember my leg cramps... as best I could describe it. My leg (shin/calf) would tense up and then it was like I couldn't move it. Massage from dh really helped. I hope I don't get that again!

If it is down the back of your leg it is probably the sciatic nerve and some walking should help. I have issues with the outside of my thigh, called meralgia paresthetica...fancy name for a pinched nerve lol....If it gets worse and bothers you during the day I'd go to a physical therapist..mine got so bad I did and now it is bearable but not gone....

Or Restless Leg Syndrome. I had it bad during my pregnancy. It was just awful. I ended up taking an iron supplement for an unrelated issue and my numbness went away almost immediately. I read an article shortly thereafter that recommended iron to treat RLS. That was when I put two and two together.

Definitely mention it to your doctor. But chances are, this is just another lovely side-effect of pregnancy.

Thanks so much for your advice and comments, I feel much better about it. I will mention it to the doctor and also have DH give me more leg and back rubs ;)
