Just curious - I know it's pretty pointless for twins but I'm just wondering if anyone knows what they measured at 19 weeks? I was expecting to be about 4 weeks ahead but they measured for the first time today and I was 28-29 weeks. I know being my third pregnancy and my ab muscles have definitely separated from where they should be- flabby..etc. I was just shocked at how big I was measuring! We had an u/s and everything was great with the girls.

Just curious if anyone else measured 9-10 weeks ahead of their gestational age. At my last appt I was 16 weeks and the PA (physician assistant) didn't measure, just guessed that I was about 4 weeks ahead

Do I look like I'm THAT big already??

    19 weeks

eta- yes, my tatas are spilling out- I'm working on getting a new bra, just trying to figure where to start..lol

    Hi Cynthia!

Yes, you might need a bigger bra. ;) At 16 weeks, I was measuring around 20. From then on at my appointments, I always measured 6-8 weeks ahead.

Leave it to Becky to tell you this. :winking0009:

My OB or peri never measured me with my twins. :unknw:

But I just wanted to say you do not look that big at all from your picture. Looks just about right. You look great! I always felt much bigger with my twin pregnancy than I did with my singleton.

Amy, yeah, I can see the boobs myself. I mentioned in the post that I know I need a bigger one. I'm trying to figure out where to go. I may end up at Mother hood or something if they carry them in my size??

I don't think I look 28 weeks pregnant. I wish I took more pictures when I was pregnant with my son so I could compare!

At 31 wks I was measuring at 42 wks, so I was 11 wks ahead. I don't think I was always 11 wks ahead at each apt but at that one I was. Talk about a growth spurt! I wouldn't worry about it, unless your ob seemes concerned. Mine said I was fine. And you don't look too big at all, you look normal to me.

Motherhood would probably be a good place to try for a new bra.

I know what you mean, I didn't many pictures when I was pregnant with my oldest DD either, and thought the same thing, it would have been nice to compare the two pregnancies. You look great though.

    Hi,

Yeah, my OB says it's pretty pointless to do belly measurements with twins, b/c it's not how big your belly is, it's how big each baby is -- and that's determined through u/s not through external measurements. So don't worry - be happy :p

    Thanks girls!

I'm not worried. My OB didn't say anything. I'm happy for sure!! I was just curious if that was the norm. I thought it was more like 4-5 weeks ahead but I guess not!!

Wow you look great! I just caught a side glimpse of myself today and realized I looked like I should be about 7 months along.

Last friday at my OB appt she said I was measuring 40 weeks and I was 30 weeks prego last week. I have people tell me all the time that I look like I am about to have my baby all the time. Then I say well I am almost 8 mo. with twins.

My peri never measured me. I saw the OB this past week at 26 weeks and he measured me for the heck of it and said well if we didn't know there were 2, you would be measuring 34 weeks.

Mrs. Jellybelly...me too! I just went in this week and I also measured at 42 weeks and the ob was hilarious saying, when is your next growth scan because theis thing is useless and tossed it aside. We both started cracking up. I was measuring at 6-8 weeks ahead which they tell me is the norm and then all of a sudden I shot up.

At 31 weeks I measured 37 weeks but my SIL (who also had twin boys) was quick to point out that at 28 weeks she was measuring 39 weeks but it was also her third pregnancy and this is my first.

I measured 20 weeks at 16, and now I feel my fundus almost to my ribcage, so I'm curious to see what I measure at my 20 week appt!!! The wild thing is--I'm still having trouble gaining weight! My belly is huge, so I must be losing weight from other body parts.

As for bras... ugh. I have gone from a D to a DD to a DDD and now I am just wearing an old stretched out, falling apart sports bra that seems to be the only thing that doesn't itch, put grooves in my shoulders, etc. I don't think its going to survive the pregnancy though. I wonder every time I wash it (which is every couple of days!) if this is goodbye. I looked at the bras at motherhood but they all seemed to be nursing bras. And considering I don't know if I'll be able to wear them a month from now, I didn't like the price tag either!

My doc's don't even measure me, they say what's the point. I don't think you look big for 19 weeks especially with two of them in there.
