Ian and Montana are 3 and a half years old. Some days they are all over wanting to learn and some days, like today. Notta! I have went through 3 pair of undies each today. Bang head here!

Why are my 2 so stubborn?

Hi there! My girls turned 4 the end of Aug and JUST got trained in June/July!! It came down to just putting them into panties during the day and that was it...we only had a few mistakes...they were old enough to control and know although in the beginning when it was coming it was NOW!!!

For my girls, it was more a matter of habit. They like routine and drag their heels at changes and going from diapers to panties is a huge change.
It only took a few days and that was it!! Even after they were dry for 2wks in the morning I got rid of the diapers at nighttime as well and I only had 2 wet beds and that has been it.

I know all kids are different....no matter what treats or prizes were lined up for going on the potty/toilet...didn't work, I just had to say that that was it and no more.

They did much better initally if they were not wearing anything on the bottom...like before bath or something. I am NOT into cleaning up mistakes from 2 kids around my home!!
    Very best of luck!

Thank you. Today was a better day for us. Both did much better. We are putting them in their undies during the day and just letting them get used to it. Keep your fingers crossed.

    Thanks again :hug99:

I am starting to think that they just do it on their own terms when they want to. With some children the more you push the more they resist. Maybe just keep encouraging and and I am sure they will come around soon. But I am with you-- potty training is very frustrating at times!!!
