Okay, so Allison started off so good!! She was the first to pee on Saturday and peed twice on the potty yesterday, but now she just holds it and nothing. Sarah had no accidents yesterday or today and is asking to go to the potty and is peeing every time. Allison is not peeing at all and is crying everytime she has to go pee. She keeps constantly asking me for a diaper. I have finally given in b/c she refuses to pee and just keeps following me around asking for a diaper. Do I just let it go with Allison and continue focusing on Sarah, or do I keep on trying this week with Allison as well? I just don't understand how she was doing so well on Saturday and yesterday she only peed twice and then today notta.

I would not push her if it make her unhappy. My son did something like that. We had a great week then he did not want to do it anymore. So we took a break and 3 weeks later he was ready again and he has been trained every since.

So definitely work on the one that is interested and offer the other one the opportunity to go, and when the one goes make sure to praise it so both can hear.

This is when that competition of twins can be good...who will potty train first!! (would be nice if it worked that way, HUh?)

My girls are both finally trained in the day, but I did them one at a time. I started a few months ago with both and could tell that one was getting it and had more interest than they other. Once I finished training one I took a little break and started on the other. She took longer and had a lot more accidents, even though I waited I still think that she wasn't totally ready. After about a month of having multiple accidents in a day, she finally just last week started to go all day with no accidents. I think that it is fine to train one at a time and not force one that isn't ready.

Is she crying because she is holding it or because it hurts? Any chance she could have a UTI?

No, as soon as I put a diaper on her she was as happy as a lark. I just don't think she's ready so I am going to concentrate on Sarah. Thanks everyone for the support.
