My one guy's top 2 front teeth came in exactly when the 'books' say they were suppose to. He's 18 months and the problem is....they never fully came in. It's like they grew out half way and stopped. It's really strange! It's been like this for months and I'm wondering if I need to see a dentist about it? Could it be because he takes a binky or something else? Sometimes when you look at him it looks likke he has no top 2 front teeth but they are there....just barely!

It might be something worth bringing up to your pediatrician and see what they say.

I'd put a call in to your pedi or a local dentist just to see what they say.

I might call a local ped dentist and see what they say. I personally probably wouldn't worry too much since there is a huge variety of what can be considered "normal" when it comes to teeth.

Actually, Jacob has been getting his eye teeth for MONTHS and they are still not all the way in. I hadn't really thought to worry about them since they do slowly seem to be coming in.

There's a little girl in my DD's DC class who has this. I looked at her and it looked like she lost a tooth already (they're 3 yrs old). I asked the teacher, "Did Ella lose a tooth already?" and the teacher said it was just a short tooth.

I would think it would be worth asking your Pedi or at least call your dentist and ask.
